  1. I do like walking to the lighthouse.
  2. Lossiemouth, in my opinion the most underrated, beautiful beach in the world
  3. More nonsense today Fine view though and saw a group of 40 odd dolphins
  4. Hell of a job on today, clearing off a cliff face with a slate roof directly below. Used kingspan to protect the roof. We abseiled down the face and cut as the digger grabbed and pulled it up.
  5. We looked at this Lime that had a serious cavity and lean, client was very keen to keep the tree as it was part of an old avenue. The power line, road/path and school were serious safety considerations which needed to be taken into account. On a positive there was a large sound buttress. Decision was taken to go for a hard prune below the power line. There was little to no limbs to prune too. Finished product Interesting power pole Interested in folks thoughts
  6. Massive Elm today really hollow but felt sound cause of the huge buttresses. Hopefully going to get the Dutch chap fro the Arb show to have a look at saving the one in the last photo. Can't be many left like that.
  7. Constantly have this argument/problem being in the NE of Scotland, want to better ourselves but the nearest course this year is 7hr drive away. Saying that I'm flying the lads down the arb show.
  8. Some nice colours in some Elm today
  9. Yes that is true, not as bad on fumes and effort. I cut the teeth off like you said but still have the angle at 10'
  10. Had a use of a Lucas Mill today and I was really disappointed. I was doing some large and small Elm. I didn't think it was much quicker than the Alaskin. Is this people's normal experience
  11. Forres in Moray, our thinking is marking an Osprey nest, marking the height, some kind of climbing orienteering?!?!? Really puzzling
  12. Climbed to the top of this 135ft Grand Fir only to find some weird blue tag. Does this mean anything to anyone ?
  13. You don't need bigger, this lifts a ton, perfect for your domestic trees. Anything bigger then the mog comes out.
  14. It does but I haven't had to ring a tree up and load it by hand in years.
  15. Hmmm don't know how that got in there ?!?!! If admin could move or delete then
  16. Multi headed sycamore in the driving sleet over a Roman built bridge. Do love a tight drop zone
  17. I have this but I'm in the north of Scotland
  18. Hahaha it's all I think about ever
  19. Turning some dead standing Scots pines into habitat poles. Winched some tops out and also fracture pruned some. Put bat holes into the stems too.
  20. See you took a pic of my felling cut
