  3. Oh I’d take that, last weekends weather would have been no chance !! I’m not going to go all out to win, I’d be happy with just completing it. I don’t do charity either but DART really is different. All volunteers.
  4. On Sunday I’m attempting to run the London Marathon in full PPE. Chainsaw trousers, chainsaw boots and helmet. I’m hoping to raise some money for DART Disaster Arborist Response Team UK Which is an awesome charity. If you can please spare a few pennies https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/andrew-macpherson9 http://www.dartinternationaluk.org
  5. I have a Farmi on the front. I wouldn’t drive far with it there. She sticks out a fair bit. The updated heavy springs make a difference. I use the crane to lift it on and off for long drives. I’ve never needed to chip in to the box so can’t help there

  7. You clearly have no knowledge or experience of PTSD or what people actually go through when they are in theatre protecting your freedom and way of life. I would strongly suggest you keep ill informed, clearly un-factual and uneducated opinions to your self or get educated, go and meet and talk to people in or ex serving military about their experiences. I bet you wouldn’t dare say anything like this to soldiers. These guys and girls kept you safe, you owe them everything and any help they get. You in my eyes are pure scum.
  8. Does anyone know a company that will long term lease these vehicles. Isuzu or Hilux etc

  12. Does anyone have first hand experience or knowledge of a real life rescue ? Just never heard of one
  13. Surely the cost of chasing the lad through the courts would be more than what they actually spent on training, therefore pointless
  14. Maybe a different thought but after struggling with Auto cad for a few years we now send the mapping’s off to a cad engineer who sends them back in a couple of days and charges £50 for the bother.
  15. I’m the same, have always struggled. I get three types, ones that completely lie about their ability and experience. Your not a climber if you can’t get off the ladders. Hollywood climbers that expect £250 a day and will only do nice easy jobs and refuse to ground once the tree is down. The third is young lads that can’t or don’t want to graft.
  16. Must do a dead Elm every week. Really solid an enjoyable to climb.
  17. They’re really small and expensive (£600) so you wouldn’t want to be taking them in and out all the time. I’d assume they’d have to be in for the day
  18. Spoke to the hearing woman at specsavers today about this as I was getting electronic moulds for shooting. There’s a bone in your skull behind the ear that takes in some noise so the moulds wouldn’t protect that. Also there’s a risk of infection from having them in all the time. She said the same as above about the shock closing off the noise and not being effective with constant noise.
  19. Reduction of a large Beech tree, had to remove a storm damaged limb from the front but she will fill out. Measured at 35m
  20. Did you find out what was the issue ? I went through the same problem. I replaced all the fuel hoses and fittings thinking air leak but no luck. I’ve just ordered a new solenoid

It’s off road cappability is very good. Very useful for lifting large stems away to saving ringing up or if it’s valuble. Also good for extracting trees from rivers.
