  1. Do you have any pics ? Did you use 3 posts or one? How do you deal with sideways force from the wind ?
  2. How did you factor in for adjustability for the rise and fall of the branch ?
  3. Thankyou I'll look him up.
  4. Sugihara, no other bars come close, some I have are 3 years old and never burred once.

    New Tipper

Including crane ?? That alone must weigh 750 kg
  6. Aye this is issue, it is a very prominent tree on a large estate house front lawn. I could easy fit rudimental props but aesthetics will come into it. Main purpose is to prevent limb failure, causing terminal damage to the trunk. Limb removal isn't an option as its a large part of the trees appeal.
  7. I have a large Lime limb to prop, is there any industry advice, recommendations ? Materials, adjustability, what to anchor to the limb and the ground ? Or if there are any experienced guys that would be happy to have a chat. I did find and read one thread and can only see a lot of pics on the Internet. Cheers
  8. How do you create the rise in the middle of the tarp, at the min my plan is to use the hiab
  9. I do a lot of lifting timber on/off with the hiab so I'd need to fashion one that was retractable and had lift at the far end for the angle when you lift the bed. I thought a Shute extension would be easier.
  10. Would it increase the speed ? Resulting in a bigger bounce up from the bed ?
  11. No, I have a hiab behind the cab of the lorry, so to keep it tipping I had to extend the tow bar. The bed is 12ft, so when the chips reach the body end there's quite a wide spray, meaning the chips bounce out. If I extend the length of the Shute would I get a better spray?
  12. It's an st 8 so plenty distance it's the spread that I want to reduce, I head a lot of wood on so don't want to cover the back
  13. I've a st8 and thinking of extending the Shute so it chips better into a 7.5 tonner. Has anyone done this before ??
  14. Looking for 2 man teams to carry out tree works around the north east of Scotland, Must be experienced and qualified. Good rates paid. Please contact 07980285940
  15. Yeah, I've got a home made linkage on for now so using the hiab to lift and keep her down. Now it's made money I can invest again in a proper 3 point linkage
  16. Few weeks of extracting 70 ton of lovely burr elm, winch worked a treat.
  17. A bit of Birch today, going to have to upgrade though, the chillaskan is falling apart. The tip guard flew off today
  18. Been using this for the last couple of weeks and really like it. The buckles are good and solid, lots of adjustability, was on a tree Austria for 5 years previous and that feels awful now compared to the new one
  19. Due to expansion David Wakeley LTd tree surgeons in Moray require a climber and a groundsman for ongoing work. Please call 07980285940 Or message on here Thanks
  20. Do you thin the pva with anything ?
