  2. She could be a cut and shut rite off
  3. Not sure, I took off the top roller and checked that. No idea it came with the company !
  4. Yes took it off and tried to adjust the nuts but made little difference
  5. I have a 08 A530 100hrs that has started to make a rattling noise near the feed rollers. They also look like there too low. Stripped it all down today so no debris, checked the bearing on the top roller and it sounds/ feels right. Any ideas please before I call an engineer.

    Elm

Maybe a local furniture maker would give you £100 for it. Personally I would buy a chillaskan and mill it yourselves for the enjoyment.
  10. Dirty Spruce for a Saturday, phone and power too
  11. All the big bits and all the burrs will be milled. This is just the heads of the trees
  12. I have 75 ton ish of hardwood, mostly Elm. Large amount is good straight processor size, some large stems too. Can be collected or delivered. Banff, Aberdeenshire. Smaller amounts can be sold
  13. Nah this is my shiny new 880. It was an 088 that he had sitting.
  14. Clearing out some big dead Elms
  15. Have 2 teams of 2 and you as the floater depending on who needs you more, then when the lads are tidying putty and get one or two quotes in
  16. The rock machinery one is good for me. Get everything you'd need for a day in. Decent hidden locks too
  17. 10/12 ton with hiab, 8inch tracked. Then a 3.5t with 6 inch towable.
  18. Thankyou for all the post, really interesting reading. A Xmas miracle happened today, explained the amenity value and the idea that retaining the trees would add value to any plot to the folk and they agreed to move the build. Survey will go ahead with recommendation to retain all trees, also they agreed on applying for TPO status. Shocked !
  19. That's a good no nonsense reply, cheers I haven't been employed yet, only asked over a phone call, no quote been sent or accepted.
  20. Not even that hassle I can check online.
  21. Yes this is the crux of it, is it unprofessional to look at getting them TPO'd or is it professional to ensure trees aren't damaged.
  22. Not yet, still undecided about getting involved, going to meet the architect tomorrow and express concerns. What I don't want is, to do a nice report, saving nice trees, sensible RPA and still get the boy a house. Then come back in a year and find all smashed to hell by a digger and roots everywhere. Which I know is going to happen.
  23. Did that, not covered. Very little up here is. There are some of the finest trees I've seen. The report will say that none of the trees should come out and the root protect zones would make it impossible to build or put in access. However we all know that means little or nothing to developers.
  24. If I go and survey a site for potential build and find a significant amount of amazing trees. Is there anyway to get them TPO'd without the landowner/architect, a) knowing it was me, b) without their permission ? Cheers
