  1. I'll say most of us will say rock machinery. Cheap and reliable, but we'll probably also say they are towable around site, not so much road legal as they don't have a light board etc. 22ton should be more than enough.
  2. I have some pensions when I was working for people and will be looking again once I'm out of the 1st year business wise. I do have to wonder if anyone has ever gotten to claim from these new pensions such as nest. Obviously public sector ones are fine, but these pensions setup in the last few years do make me wonder.
  3. If you remove the tub and mount a ball hitch in the middle, the weight should aid the traction. Kinda like using it as a fifth wheel. You can buy cheap quad balls that just bolt through and are removable.
  4. I wouldn't worry about your pension, there's bugger all to invest in when the Canadian teachers have already got the majority of everything investment wise. And how the f can they have accrued so much investment wise!.
  5. Is it sludge from diesel bug or just an old steel tank corroding?. Had the corrosion on an old Leyland that ended up messing up and needing the injection pump rebuild, lift pump replacing and a newer tank. Yey to bio fuel attracting water.
  6. Hopefully the pilot wasn't also grounded.
  7. All the parties have gone they way of knee jerk bs and a thin veneer of supposedly caring about those they represent. I'll be around, so will see what crops up on the forum.
  8. Jebus, you actually want a soviet style system don't you. And how free do you actually thing land ownership is ?. Just because it's not producing a crop, why should I be taxed more under your "land redistribution tax". Next you'll be suggesting we divvy it up and put a house on every plot like the Irish did.
  9. Land tax on farmland just leads to a soviet style, the government controls production bs. You can't force me to grow something under the threat of tax. You see big apartments in all towns and cities, huge empty monoliths owned by foreign companies all empty. That is the failure.
  10. Well it's a tree of life I guess
  11. I really don't get the whole land tax argument. I get you want housing, but that's got zero to do with owning land, that's more to do with investment property ownership. When you drive through any town and city look at the apartments standing empty and only bought as an investment. That and having to many sodding kids.
  12. No, no, no you shouldn't turn them around!. It should be like the Sahara with an oasis in the middle.
  13. Guess it's all about the gearing to create the torque. I've seen lawn tractors used on caravan sites, my old Westwood mower had a tow hitch for that.
  14. What about modifying one of those cheap lumag power barrows ?
  15. Yet they're quite happy to ban petrol and diesel cars, okay differing dates but you get the idea.
  16. Not from the brief reading of the manual, plus that chain oil looks very runny when compared to the usual name brand stuff.
  17. Was it sold with that bar or did you buy that yourself ?. Just wondering if the oiler holes match up correctly as there isn't a oil speed adjuster on these as far as I know.
  18. Plus the whole taxing fuel argument, has one huge problem. Jet fuel isn't taxed, so everyone is so obsessed about car emissions when an A380 can carry 320,000 litres tax free!.
  19. Taxation is the price we pay for a civilized society. Some may argue we don't get what we pay for on that front. I've said it before, we need to focus on the schemes that allows a holes like Hamilton to avoid tax on private jets and such.
  20. I don't think anyone wants an American style tax system squaredy.
  21. Whilst the pre budget system wasn't perfect it did incentives earning/working more. I think the real problem is around schemes such as ir35 and such. It should be a level playing field, encouraging you to earn more whilst paying a fair tax.
  22. You can't just say tax the rich, well Mr HMRC the new rule book just says tax the rich, anyone disagree is like asking to drown a puppy. Whilst we should all pay a fair share, with those in the lofty super rich paying most. It does seem like everyone glossed over the taxing large corporations and using legal but creative tax agreements to pay close to sweet fa. Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook etc etc. Did the Irish government ever cash that Facebook fine ?.
  23. Ah but labour have Diane growing another magic money tree, it was growing in one of her odd shoes. But it's now in one of Kier's old wellies.
  24. It's just me, myself and I 🙂
