When I did a lot of pallet burning the best thing was to buy a decent Hitachi reciprocating saw with 100mm blades as your only cutting one side at a time. Stack them up and using the end of the saw cut the rails apart, flip over and repeat. If you're doing it right a whole pallet took less than two minutes including flipping over and cutting away the blocks. I burned that many I even bought a carpentry vacuum to make sawdust collecting easy. -
Ok, it's just a hydraulic shuttle with solenoids at either end. They can get blocked internally, but it's usually rare as it's a sealed system. Having repaired a lot of tractors over the years, I've learnt to always start at the simple things as they're usually also the cheapest 🙂. Was the hydraulic block OEM aswell, just thinking if the port opens to feed oil to the roller is the return pipe from the roller able to feedback the oil to the tank ?. As both rollers are connected together, one solenoid directs oil in, the other solenoid should direct oil out. Hydraulics are a hard subject to describe.

The not reloading thing is similar to the log gasification boilers, they want it burning hard and smoke free. A 5kw stove burns what 1kg per hour approximately -

Dumb thought, is it getting enough power via the trailer lights plug ?. As I guess you need to leave your lights running whenever chipping.

Couldn't be worse than anything Gordon brown did, deliver a budget headline and you have to spend a week reading the blurb to find out how hard you were being gently romanced from behind!.

Was the pump you got from farmi ?. Plus, forgive the stupid question but you are running it at 1000 on the PTO. I've a pto TP chipper, you do occasionally hitch up and forget to use the right speed.

Is the rabbi in the middle in that particular scenario?. Whilst the chicken is probably kosher, does anything need to be done about the glow stick providing it's not on a Friday?

Can you fire it up without the stress control and power the hydraulic solenoid valve directly ?. Just thinking it might not be getting full voltage to the solenoid from the new stress control box, if you can it rules out faulty solenoid, low pressure pump or dirt in the system. Don't know if they have a hydraulic filter, if that's been changed and did you use the correct micron size.

It's one of those questions that need answering. A return to old financial values, I'm not a beating the drum nationalise everything type. But surely if the trains for example are back in public ownership, allow it to run as a private company and allow it to invest in say other infrastructure and slowly buy back say the water companies etc.

As a farmer, unless it's unused shed space I would suggest asking about outside space for a shipping container. Simple, secure and movable if things don't work out.

At the same time you could ask about guilts/government bonds. Are these owed by foreign companies or by people in the UK, as I presume historically it was UK owned and atleast any profits stayed within the country.

No, definitely Drax. But like a lot of older power stations they were built on or right next to coal fields with train line access. It's scandalous really, same with these waste recovery places, we shouldn't need to bury waste unless it's biodegradable. Personally I say build the waste recovery sites, open up every closed public tip and recycle and then burn everything else.

Wasn't there a guy with a nursery last month looking to get cleared?. But think your right about it being too early, usually around the first frost time once everything is dormant.

It's not exactly a secret, they have a huge drax owned and operated industry in the USA turning wood into wood pellets, shipping them to I think Gateshead. They then get off loaded from the drax owned boat, onto huge drax trains and shipped to the power station, where they are ground into powder and then burned. All whilst sitting on a coal seams, if I remember right one boat is like three days worth of wood pellets.

Without swearing, my god that's expensive but that does include nationwide delivery. The website pictures of the place looks very "clean" tho.
