  1. What are you trying to prove with your numbers ?. You either sell them or not, it's a buyer's market at the end of the day, you can charge what you like but the old adage stands true. Once bitten twice shy.
  2. Whilst I've not checked my gas bill recently, I'd be a bit dubious about mains gas being more expensive, think someone last week worked it out to 5p. Calor gas or LPG has historically always been one of the most expensive forms of heating. Zero competition and all that as it's a branded tank arrangement mostly.
  3. I wear a lot of cheap and cheerful leather rigger gloves, they might be resistant to a lot of things but usually in the bin well before from wearing out the fingertips.
  4. Well the ones you want are discontinued, for £7 give them a try.
  5. Google "powergrab thermo gloves 335". Amazon selling them, the 334 looks exactly like the ones from Screwfix at £7
  6. Must be all those mucky movies your filming on the driveway, is it a proper nudest holidays resort or just the typical pampas grass kind of arrangement?.
  7. I don't think they should either, my local council tried something similar a while back. It's something from central government that requires them to do it. Whilst at the same time they'll just buy a plot of land before a bank holiday, tarmac it to the hills and then waste millions in court.
  8. 3million divided into 14, wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy a few houses ?.
  9. The alarmists will just say it's all part of global warming. We'll boil in summer and freeze in winter and we can run around for the rest of the year waving placards and super gluing ourselves to roads or whatever George tells us is bad. The word they'll use is cyclical, like our seasons
  10. I've several footpaths, one up the driveway and past the house. Whilst it's all well and good most of the time, dog mess and the occasional self entitled horse owner ruin what joy it brings from people the nice comments people make.
  11. Rustic!, I'd want a Thames barrier kinda arrangement. Spiked tyres strips and the great escape levels of barbed wire, I don't like my neighbours obviously.
  12. I'd be tempted to timber clad a steel frame, okay probably a lot more weight but a lot more secure. Plus if it's got a frame you could always automate it in the future.
  13. I'm not so sure the deer liked the rest of his morning 😉

    Split 50/50 ?
  15. Well, sale price wise it's not going below £120 even next year. You can only know many m3 can you get out of an average artic load to work your numbers. Plus remember probably 300+ of that 2.5k will be diesel for the delivery. Personally if any more than 120 at the moment, then the gas boiler goes on.
  16. Inside every fat person is a thin person screaming to get out, just a tiny wafer thin mint should muffle the noisy bugger 🙂.
  17. Depends where you are in the country to be honest. You will get more for kiln dried, but at the same time charge too much and people will either buy at 120 or turn the gas on.
  18. If you're spending 5 hours shifting it I thinks you're getting a good amount of firewood for your money. Either way it's keeping you fit and healthy.
  19. We've all been there, especially when you're filling an IBC cage by hand. It just seems to swallow up a tree and your left wondering am I selling it for enough.
  20. At 40 it's starting to look like slim pickings, but I'll give you first dibs. But, touch my log pile and it might turn into something of a "Taken" franchise. I do have are a very particular set of skills and a woodchipper 🙂.
  21. It like the American debacle with insulin. A patent given to the people by the Inventor for the token $1. Effectively produced like brewing beer, jacked up the prices in the USA $100 Vs Canada $12. You don't have to wear a tin foil hat to know when the world and his dog and treating you like the village bike.
  22. I really wanted to be sarcastic and say Welsh isn't a species. And thus began the civil war of 2022.
  23. Tho shall not covet a neighbours log pile, if I had a wife she'd be fair game tho.
  24. Anything is possible providing you have the power and flow to match the application and the ability to make it fit. Only real problem is your adding complexity, ie another thing in-between to go wrong. Plus you'll probably require active oil cooling if the flow is high enough Vs just using an old tractor.
  25. Go have a watch of thunderfoot discussing the Tesla semi. Breaks down the complete stupidity of using electric Vs diesel.
