  1. They do come in a variety of sizes, maybe speak to them and send them a picture. It's only what a 5" flue, so probably the smallest 8mm rods ?.
  2. Weird, they're usually pretty flexible. There should also be an inspection point above somewhere close by.
  3. Just get another sweep who uses power brushes instead of b&q specials.
  4. Google says 3-7grams of platinum. At £20, it's probably better to just go robbing at Tesco.
  5. It's a ceramic matrix with an absolutely tiny amount of platinum.
  6. Stacking and splitting them as you need them is never a good idea, leaving them as rings won't allow them to season quickly enough and you'll just end up trying to burn wet wood. Splitting them and stacking would be better, but don't just build an impenetrable tower.
  7. Fair enough, I've only ever used the Brian James ramps, just two plain slippy metal troughs. Old, basic but gets a vehicle up and on.
  8. Yeah, belt driven. Oil seems to be 10w30 around 1.1litres
  9. Engine or hydraulic?
  10. You can even buy a rotatech bar and chain for £33 on fleabay.
  11. Possibly do that beforehand, if you can. Plus if the training place has the gear you can see what feels right.
  12. What about some torx button flange head screws/bolts instead of self tapping screws. Just thinking the self tappers might turn into something of a bed of nails, unless you're going to grind them flat on the reverse side ?.
  13. Whilst it's probably a little sexist, dealers could atleast send out the sexy young thing with the bill. Atleast when I'm paying handsomely for something she could briefly distract me as card payment goes through then disappear.
  14. It probably gets delivered by a rough looking old bloke sporting a bucket of their finest lube
  15. Termitenator salvation Uncle Bucking A tale of two stroke Think we're getting a bit thin on the ground now
  16. Well we've given the French another what 10 million for absolutely sweet fa. Whilst I see the idea behind paying them to do something, maybe we should rethink the whole 63 million scheme. For each successful crossing we deduct 10k per person, as we aren't returning anyone and they're going to be here forever. Would the numbers actually increase if we paid them zilch?.
  17. Maybe the British government could just cut out the smuggling gangs, rock up with a ferry and save all this at sea hijinks and take the 5-10k direct. They're doing practically zero to stop them so we might as well cover some costs before giving them the 4-5 star hotel room at our expense.
  18. She only ever used it to go church on Sundays and bingo on Thursdays. The engine only did 10.5 miles before we towed her home.
  19. Whilst Stihl and Husqvarna are expensive, the alternative is buy cheap buy twice. My primary 261 is from 2013/14, it's 2020 backup replacement sits in the workshop and gets the dust blown off it every now and again. See if one of those Hyundai 62cc's lasts almost ten years of almost daily use.
  20. Think we would all say something along the lines of you don't have to spend it all either. Spend wisely and buy what you need, not what you want. You can always trade up, not down and whilst you want to compete with the other guys. Nothing wrong with a little freelance work, especially if you've got your own gear to get the ball rolling.
  21. Pour one for my homies
  22. Why don't we ask Newtons for a bit more information before we start a rumble. Are you buying big bits new on credit ?. Is it just you or a group of guys ?.
  23. Why not weld or rivet on some strips of aluminium, 1-2mm to act like a ladder.
  24. How big are potato boxes, I've been using IBCs. Decent volume, easy to hand and customers can buy either full or half. Drying is more about wind & air movement than just keeping the rain off, outdoors my average is 16%. Worst mistakes I ever did in the beginning was using the barn, pointless waste of time and effort.
  25. Fifty shades of black thorned.
