  1. Bloody predictive text again
  2. And Herbert is probably either agency or an intern.
  3. Why do I have a feeling it's going to turn into a death of Stalin traitor scene where we're all arguing who's going to do it.
  4. Getting the permission will be less trouble for you in the long term. As if you keep going back it'll end up biting you on the arse. End of the day the customer is going to do it regardless, either legally via you or a fly by night. Which would probably end up coming back to you too. The pets argument might just make it worse, as horses are pets and not livestock.
  5. Having seen a few horror stories over the years regarding inspections, I'd go along and have a look at the same time if you can. Living next to a canal you hear plenty of the problems, but unlike a house you can atleast move to somewhere where the grass is greener.
  6. And when you've finished eating your roadkill concoction, you can just reattach it to the toilet and throw up in comfort.
  7. Yeah, definitely don't envy you doing it in situ. Was bad enough doing it on an old MF590, but atleast the tank came off and I could steam the tank and leave it to air dry. If it was me, I would flush through the tank as much as possible with clean diesel and then just keep changing filters until the weather warms up and do it in summer. As you'll need to blast it on scalding hot and probably leave it to dry for a week even in summer.
  8. Are we all supposed to stand up and shout "I am not a number", then realise I have a national insurance number.
  9. I've always liked my SIP trousers, obviously I'm a bloke so they aren't exactly figure hugging but cheap enough to walk through the undergrowth and be ok. Barbwire and hawthorn are their Achilles heel. Think my last pair were about £80, even a few at £40 at the moment.
  10. I literally only ever drag mine out by hand, as it's a backup. It all depends on what he's doing, but guessing it's a first time into splitting. I always fancied a diesel from MDL in the beginning over ten years ago, just looked a bit crap at the time on the pipework compared to the rock machinery petrol. Eastonmade do look good, until you look at the size of engine and realise it'll drink petrol.
  11. I'll say most of us will say rock machinery. Cheap and reliable, but we'll probably also say they are towable around site, not so much road legal as they don't have a light board etc. 22ton should be more than enough.
  12. I have some pensions when I was working for people and will be looking again once I'm out of the 1st year business wise. I do have to wonder if anyone has ever gotten to claim from these new pensions such as nest. Obviously public sector ones are fine, but these pensions setup in the last few years do make me wonder.
  13. If you remove the tub and mount a ball hitch in the middle, the weight should aid the traction. Kinda like using it as a fifth wheel. You can buy cheap quad balls that just bolt through and are removable.
  14. I wouldn't worry about your pension, there's bugger all to invest in when the Canadian teachers have already got the majority of everything investment wise. And how the f can they have accrued so much investment wise!.
  15. Is it sludge from diesel bug or just an old steel tank corroding?. Had the corrosion on an old Leyland that ended up messing up and needing the injection pump rebuild, lift pump replacing and a newer tank. Yey to bio fuel attracting water.
  16. Hopefully the pilot wasn't also grounded.
  17. All the parties have gone they way of knee jerk bs and a thin veneer of supposedly caring about those they represent. I'll be around, so will see what crops up on the forum.
  18. Jebus, you actually want a soviet style system don't you. And how free do you actually thing land ownership is ?. Just because it's not producing a crop, why should I be taxed more under your "land redistribution tax". Next you'll be suggesting we divvy it up and put a house on every plot like the Irish did.
  19. Land tax on farmland just leads to a soviet style, the government controls production bs. You can't force me to grow something under the threat of tax. You see big apartments in all towns and cities, huge empty monoliths owned by foreign companies all empty. That is the failure.
  20. Well it's a tree of life I guess
  21. I really don't get the whole land tax argument. I get you want housing, but that's got zero to do with owning land, that's more to do with investment property ownership. When you drive through any town and city look at the apartments standing empty and only bought as an investment. That and having to many sodding kids.
  22. No, no, no you shouldn't turn them around!. It should be like the Sahara with an oasis in the middle.
  23. Guess it's all about the gearing to create the torque. I've seen lawn tractors used on caravan sites, my old Westwood mower had a tow hitch for that.
  24. What about modifying one of those cheap lumag power barrows ?
  25. Yet they're quite happy to ban petrol and diesel cars, okay differing dates but you get the idea.
