  1. Thats a brilliant idea Pete but if the pneumatic tyres were anything like the crap I purchased off the bay of thieves you will probably end up changing them for the solid ones. My drag about yard box tyres always seemed to be punctured or flat; Not now
  2. What about willow? They nibbled away at a transit load of Willow today, this was all that was left an hour ago .I checked a few moments ago its now all gone Bob
  3. Look before you leap, go look at the site and take a spade. For all you know it could be hard old ground on the side of a hill a foot deep in mulched lop and top. Bob
  4. I agree ,I borrowed a friends triaxle and its far more forgiving on load distribution. The twin axle tilt bed we have is good for plant/mini tractors but up near the weight limit tyres have been known to let go.
  5. That Mick is good at what he does, a bit more of his work from today. Started mounting the ram sub chassis under the tipper body of one of the trucks. Bob
  6. The grab on the 3ton 360 has just been given its last repair, bushes split and numerous welds on welds so next time round its going in the bin:thumbdown: New collars
  7. Some foreigners that were spraying the outside of a house covered about twenty cars parked downwind with Sandtex overspray. The words "no speak fuggeddy english" seemed to relieve them of all responsibility. It may work for sawdust too:001_smile: Bob
  8. Yep, an absolute must. Everything gets guarded now before it goes out, the one occasion I never did it the machine came back mullered.
  9. LA`s are just a bunch of naive pillocks, make a charge for tipping and fly tipping will increase. They have put the squeeze on the general public at the Guildford recycling centre , no pickups, no trailers, and no commercial waste unless you pay, the result is fly tipping everywhere which the council pick up the tab for. They build these bycrikey sites to house the great unwashed and the level of local fly tipping goes through the roof, you would think someone within the council would have the nous to allow for free skips on these sites or at the very least dial the cost into the rent they charge. Bob
  10. [quote name= Another factory tour event is being considered for early next year for those who are interested.[/quote] Free food and drink ? Bob
  11. Its a beast John, unfortunately not HS compliant so it needs mods . I will get round to eventually . Its the only small chipper I have seen that can get the chip to hit the headboard of the bulker bin and fill it with no further shovelling , it needs the easysheet pulled over to stop chip hitting the back of the Foden . Bob
  12. All good so far Gus but that said we have only put 150hours on it , jury is still out on it Bob
  13. Slightly deeper in the bellhousing but the same thing on a 4d ford engined 9" Vermeer I have festering in the corner of the yard . Bob
  14. Bought a new six tonner recently, it needs to come in for guarding before it goes in the woods. http://www.liugong-europe.com/products/excavators/compact-excavators/906diii
  15. Perkins a good choice as they are cheap, reliable and plentiful . The SAE size range is not a problem because any engineering firm can spin up an adaptor ring using the SAE data supplied. Below is Perkins 4236 bellhousing with a landy 90/110 adaptor plate I took off an engine I bought to go in one of the RB`s
  16. A bit of a bargain here if you want to convert a perkins/ford or any other sae bolt pattern diesel engine to clutched PTO for stationary use. I have had to rebuild these on things like old vermier chippers and can assure you this is unbelievably cheap, fully adjustable and can be preset for slip. 9 Inch power take off clutch, lister, petter, dorman | eBay Bob
  17. Its late, have a go with this or a least go to 3.55 and watch Clapton going into one. Bob [ame] [/ame]
  18. Can we chuck this in the mix? Do you need a tachograph? If you tow for your business you do - Fleet News Bob
  19. "The chippers not chipping very well Bob". Thats what they reckon and they have not been feeding the rakings through it, yeah right:001_rolleyes:
  20. Help is at hand Johnny [ame] [/ame]
  21. A bit of blurb on car derived vans, visibility to the rear plays a roll in classification on larger vans vs minibuses. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/car-derived-vans-and-dual-purpose-vehicles/car-derived-vans-and-dual-purpose-vehicles Bob
  22. I am not so sure you can fit work lamps to the Stihl Stefan . Bob
  23. If you are serious about putting a hydraulic system on the L200 go engine driven. A small chassis mounted reservoir with an oil/water intercooler ,a three port solenoid diverter valve and that will give you your tipper, future winch and auxiliary splitter hydraulics at the flick of a switch. You dont need new because this stuff comes up s/h all the time, this is just an example. MITSUBISHI L200 ENGINE PTO HYDRAULIC PUMP KIT HIAB CRANE CHERRY PICKER | eBay Hydraulic Solenoid Control Spool Valve, 3/8 / 1/2 BSP, 50lpm, 1-4 Bank, 12 / 24v | eBay Bob
