Baby wipes are good at removing anything from anything. Halfords sell Turtle Wax bug and tar remover.

Could you use jommer tree ? Don't know what it is but it sounds complicated. -
Araldite, 1.5mm aluminium and a couple of self tappers should sort it

I made my trailer floor from WPB ply and 3 years later it's starting to flake and perish. It's never been treated with anything though.

Layer's Mash chicken food used to be the go to for abandoned young birds, mix with milk or water to soften it for them.

According to Echo If a saw starts, runs and cuts what makes it rubbish. Did you have problems with the saw Gary ? Don't just slag it and leave us hanging.

If there's still plenty of depth in the groove just file the edges flat and take the rough off, it's common practise to dress the bar with a flat file.
