  1. Turn the screws in till they seat gently, don't wrench them tight. Then try 1.25 full turns out on each as a start Chris. It's not necessarily what they recommend but it's not going to be miles out. Have you definitely got a spark and compression if so try a spoonful of neat fuel straight down the plug hole and heat the plug on a gas ring or blow torch and stick it back in quickly then try a start with no choke.
  2. I asked about metal cage bearings at Spire bearings as I was dubious about plastic and he assured me that the plastic cages are well up to the job if they are looked after and of a good quality to begin with and they retain lubricant better and stay cooler than metal cage. The cage is only there to locate the bearings which are the part that do the work.
  3. I'll get him booked in for a respray
  4. I made a two pin spanner out of an old socket to get the clutch off my 135 and it works fine. I wind the piston to the top and just leave room for the cord and have never had any problems with it trapping in the ports as they should be covered.
  5. Tell us how it goes and we'll all eee with you
  6. blindstickinsect on ebay. I had some carb bits and clutch springs no problem but a few have complained about service and quality. He has a shop called tree and grass spares on eBay but there are others on there like garden hire spares that I use as well it's best to check round and see who has what before you jump in and it still goes awry sometimes
  7. Can I borrow him we have some chimneys to clean and our old one is getting too big and keeps getting stuck. I told the missus not to keep feeding him but she won't listen.
  8. 37° on our back yard yesterday but it's cloudy today and only got up to 28° under the gazebo.
  9. I thought it was going to be a thread about recipes
  10. Send it back and get one that fits properly a tap is going to cost you as much as a new clutch.
  11. I saw a wasp on Sunday, it was studying a brick wall very closely. The longer they stay away the better as I have a phobia. When I get them round me I look like I'm boxing the invisible man I have been told.
  12. Some Loncin engines use Honda spares, try Abbey garden sales they might help as they sell Loncin engines.
  13. You want something like Scooter shack or sixteener special but really they are very simple. A few makes use the same power unit in different mopeds and you can get anything for them. Different belts and variator weights are what makes a difference to how they go and variators are restricted from the factory but easily modified. Is it a runner ?
  14. I tried the search for chain for my 135 but it would not give me the option of 14" bar or 3/8" chain it says 13", 15" or 18" in .325.
  15. Youtube here from 2012 of a chap on a motorbike who got hit by a falling branch, the odds are high but it must happen occasionally. Mute it cos he is a bit verbal. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgqChIRJsX8[/ame]
  16. What if it's green ?
  17. Root balls tend to have a lot of figuring in them as well if you can get hold of any big butts that Jon hasn't claimed
  18. Is it an underwater processor ? That is a hand held unit for use underwater so odds on it will have no lube for the bar.
  19. Not necessarily, you can build timber frames and fill in with straw bales or skin with brick outside or you could go back to wattle and daub timber frame Tudor style.
  20. Green side up remember
  21. Not really Scottish but...
  22. I thought flounce was an abbreviation for fluid ounce, you learn something new every day here.
  23. They look very similar to a Hitachi saw I looked at a while ago.
  24. No they make holes
  25. Dream on loser, he's only 5' 2"
