  1. Yep seems a bit of a drama for a very simple job, knock a bobble or 2 off n fell it, chequeplease n gone😀
  2. Spoke to my friend who spoke to his dad who now thinks I'm crackers! He can't remember anything about wee, must've been some deviant daydream I had😳. He did however suggest you use sulphur powder: put it in a sock on a stick and shake over affected plants, it is used in organic horticulture and approved by soil association, he now lives in Spain and treats his grapes in this way and said it works well.
  3. I'm no expert but remember that a multitude of included unions indicated a varietyChinese elm, they had one at local college that dropped limbs in any heavy wind but I cans remember if it had those more rounded leaves. Just my limited input.
  4. Does it have a lot of included branch unions? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. I'll do a tank for tank comparison
  6. Really! My mates dad is a permaculture/organic fanatic, thinking about it there may be other ingredients, I'll try and get details of ingredients
  7. I have helped replace/tension bands on crown wheeled mills (trekkasaw, autotrek and a couple of old statics) and mate has a Norwood with no crowns which caused a bit of confusion when we first used it. No wooden guide blocks just an alloy fence. Customer gave it to me when he had clear out so don't really know if everything's there and lookin closely the bed appears to be slightly twisted🙁
  8. There's s PTO peeler on fleabay for 650 at the mo
  9. What sort of thickness will it comfortably cut?
  10. Great I'll hav a look Tuffsaws, think the 513 n 613 identical as the workshop manual is for both (more powerful motor on 613?)
  11. Hi all, I have been given a kitty 513 bandsaw which has no blade. I know what length blade I need but after looking at a couple of sites am now confused as to what width/teeth set and number of teeth. Not helped by the fact that measurements seem to jump from met to imp for different bits! I want to rip down milled boards, mostly air dried hardwoods but also a bit of spruce/pine/wrc. Thanks john
  12. I'll 2nd that😀
  13. I'm tempted to buy one of the 60cc saws and cane the arse out of it on an upcoming softwood thin just to see how it fairs. If it lasts a month it'll Of paid for itself.
  14. I'd tell him to rod off! You've got nothin to feel guilty about especially if there's a bit o ground between you, I understand if you just want to keep the peace but people like him should appreciate that the countryside is where this sort o thing goes on, it should be a busy working environment as well as a place of beauty in order for it to thrive not somewhere preserved in aspic for wealthy retirees and leisure seekers. I remember people visiting us whinging about the smell of cow **** and the dust from harvesting! Good ******* grief, **** em. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. A weak solution of water and ladies wee sprayed on em works well!
  16. Kinda funky, nice brarse!
  17. Thanks for everyone's input, they are gonna have to go through a process of elimination, so many things it could be
  18. Most people will tell you to get either an orange one or an orange and white one then a few others will tell you they're shite so get an orange n black one because nothing else is as good a couple of real rebels may mention blue (but they're workin for the MAN) someone might mention red but they haven't taken their meds! Personally I'd just get one that starts and run it on .325 semi chisel chain
  19. They've only been there a week! Had been on the list to get out of the old flat for over a year and are so chuffed to finally have a garden. Nearly all the other places they were offered were absolute **** holes in proper rough spots. It's unlikely they'd get offered anywhere else unless they reproduce again! There's hundreds of planes round Norwich estates like theirs, must be a several people in the same boat. Thanks for your comments
  20. Offending(?) trees!
  21. Quite a good one though!
  22. Hi, my granddaughter, who is nearly 3, has asthma, her family have just moved to a place with garden. They've only been here a week so today I turned up wi mover etc to help tidy up and they said since bein here she has been coughing constantly and wondered if it was the paint ( they redecorated before moving in ) But I am wondering if it is the 2, reasonably large, planes that dominate the back garden from council open space behind. I know from experience working on themhow uncomfortable they can make your working day when in leaf and I know there's nothing we can do about them, but am interested to know if anyone could confirm they may be the cause? Thanks in advance John
  23. Ahh! Was not being picky but a couple of my colleagues are currently looking at investing in a kiln and may be interested, if you pm me your contact details I'll pass em on. Funnily enough one of em is from Oswestry way originally! We're Norfolk based
  24. What Alec says makes great sense, though looking at the photo closely there are obviously several rows of well spaced oaks ( it was hinted at in the ops opening statement ). With this in mind it looks like there is room for the introduction of some other species to create variety, but I would be inclined to keep the main(?) avenue purely of oak to maintain its historical connection. Alternatively does it have to be interfered with?
