  1. Bayer Pistol - residual herbicide. Controls everything for 6 - 10 months! Can't use near waterways, perfect for railway ballast, hardstanding, paved areas. Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  2. Depends on a number of variables including soil type. Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  3. Just looked at SmartWater website - £132 per yr to protect business assets including mowers & saws is a bargain in my eyes! Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  4. Either Scott's ReAct or Dow Blaster, the latter is approved for use in SSSI woodlands by Natural England Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  5. They seem to have some interesting kit on their website.....http://plpc.co.uk/equipment.php Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case

  7. A LR Defender 130 tipper can carry approx 2.5 m3 Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  8. Try Payleven. Chip & pin that connects via Bluetooth to an iPad or iPhone. Got mine, works well & no minimum contract terms. Great customer service as well. Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  9. Aspen2 is the only fuel we use in chainsaws & hedge cutters. Kit runs better. Staff feel better. Just need the government to lower the duty on it. Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case

  11. I've got air helper springs on my defender with the compressor set up for tyre inflation. So we just change the nozzle..... Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  12. Try Ashley Gray of Ashley Trees, he's based in WGC Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  13. HWF is the Woodfuel subsidiary of HorticMan Ltd, the parent company. In ideal world I'd do firewood all year round - it's not going to happen. That why we concentrate on grounds and estate management 80% of the time! with the Woodfuel being an additional revenue stream. Having said that we have got a 175 acre woodland to thin over the next 5 years, so won't be short of timber. Matt Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  14. Hi Jon, heavy duty leisure/marine batteries - but not Odessy reds (as Paul foley said it was a waste of money). Matt Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  15. Scott's reAct is great at controlling nettles, even preventing regrowth the following year. Can be used in amenity grassland and woodlands and is relatively inexpensive at £40 per 5 litres. BUT has been axed courtesy of our friends in Brussels. You can buy up to end of June and then it can be used until September 2015. Matt Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  16. I've got a Husky 10 with plasma rope, linked to twin batteries with split charge system. Pros: pulls everything, can winch without engine running if needed - can't do that with either a PTO or hydraulic winch on a defender.. Matt Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  17. Hi Jon, the H4 bulbs were about £17, the Lazers were £175 each - both from Devon 4x4. Speak to Jake. Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  18. I timber using one of these during my time at Midland Tree Surgeons in the 90's. Heavy brute, towed behind a Hilux or Defender. Eat the largest stumps without problems! Loved car windscreens, golf balls & power cables in equal measure.... Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  19. Osram H4's + 2x Lazer RS4's that pump out 7500 lumen per light bar.... Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case

  22. Getting wetter.... Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  23. Morning, we're coppicing a lot of Alder - both mature and semi-mature & processing into firewood. Seasons & burns well. Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  24. Land Rover Discovery TD5 or TDV6 Commercial - 3.5ton tow & ton payload Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
  25. My young just broken in 2004 Defender td5 130, has just reached 156K and still returns average of 28 - 30 mpg Sent from my iPad protected by bombproof Lifeproof Case
