  2. Hi Bill it’s F###ing hard with pricing as we always want to do the best work we can but then most of the time we end up paying ourselves like £4 an hour people are always telling me my prices are too cheap .

  5. Hi on an auction site called bid spotter ,there is the contents that are left in 2 wood shops in a Manchester College not much any good apart from the very nice woodwork benches and metal cupboards all going really cheap maybe worth a look
  6. Hi I have checked with my sparky who revamped our electrics in the workshop and he reckons we are fine as we have 2 , 32 amp scockets one for the welder and another for my girlfriends stained glass kiln but we wouldn’t be able to use them all at the same time

  12. Hi unfortunately 5.5 is just not quite big enough,but the more people I ask the better chance of getting something sorted,so fingers crossed, I have a mate who runs a demolition firm I am going to ask him to keep an eye out for something for me

Hi guys ,just got a nice wide thicknesser so now need to power it so I thought I would ask on hear if anybody has something I can use , I don’t want to start changing things on it as electrics ain’t my thing I need a 6kva supply either a phase converter or genny ,looking around and they ain’t cheap so if anybody can help that would be ace, then hopefully I will have my mill ,thicknesser and kiln all up and running by the new year.   17. Hi Steve how big a bit do you need as I only have some very thin bits left over 15/20mm square but quite long if that’s any use for an ID I will try and take some more pictures tomorrow,just didn’t get time today.
  18. Cool ,never seen that done before did you rig up that petrol engine,I have just got a Wadkin thicknesser that is 3 phase so now on the lookout for a 3 phase converter ,but looking at that setup,that might be an option.how much do you want for it just out of interest. Cheers Mark

Hi Mr Monkey,but is it just me but I think £180 for one board 2.5mtrs long is bloody expensive so yep it is me wanting it cheaper than £180 but if I can I would like to deal with fellow arbtalkers .so the size I need to make 2 benches 2.5mtrs long 300/350 wide and 50mm thick or there about .
