Hi yep it comes on a trailer hence the wanting to fit a hydraulic lifter I could have a forklift in the yard but if I am out on site then hydraulics would be ace ,but I expect to have to go with ramps and a winch to start with unless I am lucky and can get the hydraulics sorted quickly,a matey of mine mends tractors so first thing Monday I will be popping in to see him .

  5. Hi guys so I am getting a woodland mill and now thinking about maybe adding a hydraulic log lifter but I don’t know anything about hydraulics so has anybody already done this and can tell me how to get it done as cheap as possible Thanks Mark

Hi Thanks that’s all good advice I do have an arrowsmith junior kiln just need to make a box for it ,there’s one on eBay at the mo with all the manuals so I messaged the seller and asked if he would photo copy for me and he said he would try and find time,so yeah I do sort of have a kiln but one of those logosol sauno kilns looks good and a forklift , need to get log ramps made as £500 seems very expensive,if you are ever in our part of the world do pop in Cheers Mark

Hi I am getting a woodland mills HM130 it’s used but in good nic and trailered so after a short time chainsaw milling I was totally into milling so have been doing my best to get a bandmill ,Alaskan Mills are ace and they have their place but are F###ing hard work and after breaking and dislocating my ankle,it’s even more demanding,so hence a bandmill and hopefully with an advertising campaign I will be selling milled timber ,and have been talking with a mate about making living wagons with a difference imagine mad max meets high end interiors and if it don’t work out I can always sell the mill

  12. Hi Mr Git I have quite a bit of experience with resin the hardest thing is keeping it where you want it have a look at Easy Composits web site they sell Flash Tape that doesn’t stick to the resin and plenty of vids on you tube

  18. Hi Steve , what timber would you recommend for a sink ,I would like to use something like false acacia if I can find a big enough bit ,do you have anything suitable that you would be willing to part with .

Hi guys I think we have had a thread about wooden sinks before but I can’t find it ,so anyway my housing association is going to refit my bathroom and if I can avoid it being just cheep white crap then all good so I want to make a wooden sink has anybody made one and if so what wood did you use and did you use resin or something else to waterproof it ,as usual looking forward to you thoughts Thanks Mark

Hi Jon if I can get the mill I have arranged to buy done and dusted soon then I would be happy to mill it , and Steve you are right defo mill it I am going to make a bedroom set out of what I have can you picture it wardrobe doors with the knots going down them ,and a bed with a head board and foot board with the knots and lastly 2 bedside cabinets cool as
