  1. Hi sorry not had time to strip the saw down yet and it will now have to wait until after the Bath and West Show
  2. Yep you can just leave the mill on the bar and do both sides no fuss and the grind stones are quite cheep
  3. Hi I would get the granberg one it sits on the bar has a stop so all cutters are the same ,it runs on a 12v battery so you can just run it from your truck , see Chainsaw Bars they will sort you out

Hi guys, so I have a new 880 I sort of ran it in then its been used 10 times or so, today milling some field maple I noticed chain oil leaking from the tension screw is it just pumping a lot of oil and as its a hot day the oil is thin so leaking or do you think I have a problem, not taken it apart yet just thought I would ask Thanks Mark
  8. Hi guys, so after milling some of the monkey puzzle my bar and mill are covered in very sticky sap, white spirit wouldn't touch it soap and water wouldn't touch it I don't want to just scrape it and put horrible scratches on everything so any ideas Thanks in advance Mark

Hi K, naw as the head is the wrong way round I will just use it till it breaks then make a new head that’s the right way round , and then put some bands round it if I need to it would look cool with bands round it though ,brass may look cool with the green heart , I would like an old Lignum bowling ball to make a mallet head out of ,or some iornwood Cheers Mark

  18. Or if you can get it use greenheart it polished up really nicely and they use it for pier pilings so is ace in and around water a carpenter I know made a spiral staircase out of it that descended to a swimming pool it was stunning
  19. You could always resin coat it and then no worries you could use what you like

Wow you will be able to swim in that cool as , have a look at crystal clear water a friend of mine looks after a big pond and he treated it with it when he first started and now it’s nice and clean to swim in ,not saying yours isn’t but just thought I would share the knowledge, good luck looks ace wish I had the land to do something like that
  22. Hi Jon that’s what it looks like I will end up doing we do have a big wood burner in the workshop so it will not go to waist, but it’s quite rare so thought somebody might want it especially for Free
  23. Yes but have you ever seen gangs of bright red worms , worming their way across your yard , I know it’s bloody stupid but it’s been bugging me for yrs How do the little buggers get there

  25. Oh no don’t make it into 2 inch big chunky coffee table just cut off enough for 2 legs hidden casters so you can move it , big mortise and tenon joints it would be ace
