  1. I've tried looking for some kind of tree policy thing on the BT website - without luck. May have to call Buzby for advice....
  2. BT have three poles running along the edge of our woodland (next to a small road). The supply is only to a neighbours house (we have no connection to the line). A bunch of our trees have grown their branches into the line and really need cutting back. Are BT responsible for cutting our trees back or are we expected to do this ourselves? Cheers, Steve
  3. Without some good insulation there are two times of the year when the temperature feels just right; Spring & Autumn. The winter is very, very cold.... the summer is very, very hot. With insulation and a wood burner you'll love it. Cheers Steve.
  4. Not surprised Jon, many people are in the same boat, and with the way things are right now that boat is gonna sink!! Energy prices are only set to rise. Could do with a petition running to get the law changed. Houses should not be allowed to be rented out unless they have basic effieciency measures in place. Frankly I don't worry so much about my own comfort... it's our 2 year old I worry about. Turning down the heat leads to black mould, and inevitably coughs, colds & asthma. Cheers, Steve
  5. It needs 3 units of double glazing upstairs, a new condensing boiler, insulated hot water tank, double dormer insulation (lots of celotex + plasterboard), three insulated access doors and rolls of itchy loft insulation.... Can't afford that either!
  6. We weren't exactly spoilt for choice when we were looking, so the EPC is irrelevant, especially when compared to being homeless. If we ask the landlord to insulate and replace the crap boiler he'd probably put the rent up to an even more extortionate amount! This is why UKGov needs to do something about a getting minimum standard of efficiency in rented accommodation. Been looking to buy our own place for a few months now, but hasn't been much coming to market. Cheers, Steve
  7. Had the gas bill today.... £793 for 3 months. Can't afford it anymore The boiler is turned off now and the fire is lit, but that only heats one room. We rent the house and it has an old non-condensing boiler, virtually no loft insulation and single glazing upstairs. Our money/ energy is pouring outside into the environment & the government aren't making landlords upgrade THEIR houses to even a half decent standard. We pay the price
  8. Looks like a useful paint for all sorts of applications - only thing is that it looks like it needs to be sprayed via a Line-X dealer. Could only find a dealer in North Devon.... fine if you happen to live in North Devon! Cheers, steve LINE-X Sprayon Bedliners, Protective Coatings, Truck Bed Coating, Floor Coating, Industrial Flooring
  9. Don't get that problem with an Austrian Scythe, or the noise, or the fumes. Cheers, Steve

  11. Oh no surely not! Dya mean the ones she did with Jason Donovan?
  12. There's a small but notable difference between Cordwood and Cord Wood.
  13. Yeah, come on!... show us which songs you've nicked....could it be Abba? James Blunt? Burt Bacharach? The Cheeky Girls?
  14. In the United States and Canada, firewood is usually sold by the full cord, face cord or bag. A full cord or bush cord has a volume of 128 cubic feet (3.6 m3), including wood, bark, and air space in a neatly stacked pile. The actual wood volume of a cord may be in the range of 80 to 100 cubic feet (2.3 to 2.8 m3) as stacked wood takes up more space than a piece of solid wood. The most common firewood piece length is 16 inches (41 cm). A face cord is one third of a full or bush cord stack of wood that is 4 by 8 ft (1.22 by 2.44 m) by 16 in (41 cm) and has a volume of 42.6 cubic feet (1.21 m3). 15. Probably removed on copyright grounds. Best be careful if you are using images or music without permission or a licence, especially when it's for business/corporate use. Could land yourself with a hefty bill! Cheers, steve
  16. Sounds like a bit of a nightmare! Shouldn't your insurance company be sorting it all out? Cheers, steve
  17. Is it your own music? Cheers, Steve

The Sugihara bars aren't described as being indestructible but from what I can gather they are supposed to last much longer when compared with other bars. Which Sugihara did you have on the 346xpg? Was it the resin one, or solid?.... ....and what happened for it to bend so soon, did you get it caught up? Cheers, Steve

No worries Jon, apparently the Husky bars are a bit on the soft side, wear out fairly quick. You may want to consider a Sugihara bar for the long term. I'll be ordering a 15" Sugihara Pro when mine wears out. I also got an 18" Sugihara Light type Pro bar from Rob at ChainsawBars (the one with resin infilled to reduce the weight). Decided to go with the resin bar as wanted the saw to feel as balanced as possible. Hope this helps, cheers steve

  23. Before parting with any cash best to run a TER check to see if it's registered as stolen or has finance owing, it's not very expensive to do. (Best to assume absolutely everything is stolen on the bay !) Cheers, Steve

Hi mate, it's a brand new saw so there is no reason to be spraying easy start! It only took 29 pulls on the very first start (without easy start!) and has started in 2 or 3 pulls since then. Be very wary of using easy start regularly as it won't do your engine any good Cheers, Steve
