  1. I read that quote on the BBC News page this morning but couldn't find it this evening.... seems they may have removed it?? I think it's a superb comment because you could replace the name with anybody, lost family, friends and still get that feeling. cheers, steve British actor Simon Pegg wrote: “If you’re sad today, just remember the world is over 4 billion years old and you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie.” Read more: A county in mourning for rock legend David Bowie whose success owed much to Yorkshire - Yorkshire Post
  2. Is good to see people still up for signing this petition.... unfortunately not enough people have signed within the timescale for the petition to be taken into consideration by UKGov (I think that's right, but someone might want to double check). Maybe this thread should be archived & the petition ceased, if possible? cheers, steve
  3. Thanks fir your help Jon Abcd D Derek, my answer is D for Derek and D for Dalek Cheers, steve
  4. We're talking about how long tyres last in fractals. cheers, steve
  5. Day 9 in the zero facearse house.... It's been 5 days since my last update - I'm not trying to auto login so often now... I reckon I auto try to login about once per day. So do I miss being on Facebook? Not really half as much as I thought I would. What do I miss about it? Recently, I've been scanning eBay, Motors.co.uk, PistonHeads, AutoTrader, Gumtree, Preloved and FridayAds looking to buy a small van.... I'm wondering if I'm missing out on seeing the Facebook classified ads! Probably not, but definitely maybe?! Where do people sell cheap little vans nowadays? Aren't most people fed up with eBay (who also own Gumtree)? Where do all the little used vans go?.... cheers, steve
  6. I've forgotten the rules. Can someone explain the rules please? Cheers, Margate Thatcher
  7. Big difference then.... would be good if they could do a video showing the amount of crud deposits left in the users lungs.
  8. I'm as large and heavy as I've ever been in my entire life.... a tad under 12 stone and on a 32" waist, 5' 8" high. Cheers, steve
  9. The www is a great tool for all kinds of positive reasons.... it's also a bad thing for all kinds of negative reasons. Personally, I've been finding myself doing too much screen staring; distracting oneself from doing real world activities; real-life exciting stuff like re-glueing & painting the tongue & groove bath panel. cheers, steve
  10. ah, would the pin hole borers munch away at the whole thing, eventually? cheers, steve
  11. Thanks for uploading pics. Are the pin holes in the heartwood, I thought it was just the sapwood that was vulnerable on oak? (I'm probably wrong!). cheers, steve
  12. Yep, they are great for making runner bean poles/ wig wam structures, we also use them for training our Sweet Peas. It's not a durable wood so expect to get a couple years use in an outdoor environment. cheers, steve
  13. I tried making a hurdle out of wonky Hazel from our wonky Hazel coppice.... I found that clefting wonky Hazel is pretty difficult. My hurdle reached an awe inspiring height of 1ft 8inches before I gave up. cheers, Steve
  14. I picked up a Tirfor TU16 off eBay recently for £140 ....it was ex Speedy Hire. Works great. It came with a 30m rope which is hard work to coil up so I'm looking for a 10m one. cheers, steve
  15. A scam, fraudulent activity on eBay, ??....surely not!!!
  16. On Mapserve.co.uk/maps_pricing it costs £12.64+vat for one hectare (with their professional account).
  17. maps.the-hug.net goes up to 1:50,000 openmaps.co.uk does the same Happy new year Murray!
  18. Just joking.... I'm happy to not win and just sit, rub my knees & drool over the keyboard watching what everybody else has won.
  19. Hi thanks, the hydraulic auxiliary line on our mini digger is 200bar and 35 litres/min so doesn't look like it'll run either of those. Cheers, steve
  20. I'm hoping to win a Jensen chipper. or timberwolf. or woteveva....
  21. Well, I'd like a chipper that does 12" diameter ....but, uuuum, errrr.... can't afford it! How much do 3" or 4" chippers tend to sell for?.... could I pick one up for £1k? cheers, Steve
  22. What I mean is to power a chipper via the mini digger auxiliary hydraulics.... then I wouldn't need to have a power unit on the actual chipper. cheers, steve
  23. Even stranger is when dead people send messages to us living people! (okay I'll climb back into the straight jacket now, but can still use my tongue to type).
  24. Day 4 in the zero Facebook house.... a) I've attempted to human-auto-pilot-login-to-Facebook just a couple times today. b) my partner took a video of me washing our dirty Jack Russell in the wheelbarrow to show his automatic washing machine mode (I got wet holding him). That's been uploaded to Facebook by her so even though I'm not on Facebook for all of 2016 - I'm still on it! cheers, steve
  25. Thanks all. Does anyone make a chipper that would run off the hydraulics on a mini digger? Cheers, steve
