  2. Anonymoose (a moose that lives a hermit life)
  3. Antseptic (an ant that is septic, a septic tank in the shape on an ant).
  4. Eggstra (more eggs, and part of an egg tray).
  5. Treemendous (a super looking tree)
  6. Nearly run someone over?!.... missed that bit.... the police need to get onto this one, surely?! Tell them you think they had a gun, even if they didn't.
  7. oh no, that's awful. Dammit. Major bummer. Especially as it's so close to the start of a new year.... Any CCTV in the area?... or witnesses's? I'm sure the police will log it on their system for you, but maybe don't expect much else. cheers, Steve
  8. It was e not g
  9. Eggsample (meaning; lots of eggs, a sample of egg, and to make an example of eggs).
  10. Cool.... I chatted with Toni Kilpin - if you get the chance, mention you heard it from Arbtalk. I thought they might have been able to knock a few quid off, but £53 is pretty darn good. cheers, steve
  11. Oysterich (a cross between an oyster and an ostrich).
  12. Here's a big thumbs up to Arborisk (part of the Bartlett Group insurance brokers).... I've been looking for a good value insurance provider that covers our car.... which we use for a mix of social domestic + business purposes related to farming. I tried a number of companies and thought I'd try Arborisk.... they were the cheapest by a fair wack (saved me £53) plus they gave the best coverage terms & conditions. Well worth asking them for a quote. cheers, steve
  13. I'm not sure about the science of it all because I'm not a scientist. But regardless of whether or not it's a man/woman made thing, I think it's sensible to look at our own actions & pollutions..... globally. cheers, steve
  14. I dunno, we seem to be pretty good at turning December into t-shirt weather and getting early blooms of daffodils.... even with the odd bluebell starting to show leaves! ....but actually, yeah, if I'm honest with myself things will probably get much worse & spiral out of control. cheers, Steve
  15. Yeah, it's a pretty twisted situation to have a government voted into power on just 26% of the vote share. Feels like it's fixed. I've often thought we need some serious weather patterns to kick our asses before any lifestyles changes are triggered. Maybe we are at the beginning of that? cheers, steve
  16. No doubt the E.A management will do well! When our street flooded in Weymouth we shut the roads ourselves because the cars were creating waves. Some people were driving through like idiots and it just created further misery for people who only got water in their houses entirely because of the car drivers. And today I noticed the army were driving through a town creating a big wave.... and what's the need to drive fast if you have a snorkel fitted to your 4x4? Maybe it's more fun?! But it's fine in rural areas where there's no houses. cheers, steve
  17. So do you think it's more of an 'Age of Denial'?... or something else? cheers, steve
  18. Haha! Okay. I'll read what you said a few thousand times. I am the age of stupid. cheers, steve
  19. Yeah, I saw that... unfortunately I'm getting silly amounts of spam nowadays so emails are bad right now. Nevermind, I'll investigate elsewhere. Didnt mean to hijack this thread, sorry. cheers, Steve
  20. Interesting, may I ask to expand on that, a little?.... cheers, steve
  21. Some of you may have watched this film a few years ago.... 'The Age of Stupid'. It's a film about Climate Change. The thing for me is that watching recent news events ~ ya know.... things like resource wars, pollution, drought, displacement of millions of people and flooding kinda takes me back to this film... 'The Age of Stupid' The Age of Stupid | Spanner Films Are we actually 'The Age of Stupid' and if so, can anything be done about it? cheers, Steve p.s.... climate deniers are also welcome to contribute here. Just lets be nice to each other eh.
  22. Spot on.... The soft rush loves it too!
  23. That makes sense to me. The areas of meadow where we have tended to drive over more regularly are more compacted and seem to be wetter, the grass in those areas isnt growing as well either. All our meadows have felt soft underfoot for the entire year.... very different to the previous two years. As a result of a lack of proper warm sun our hay crop never came good. And because we had to cut and bale the grass on non-firm ground it must have resulted in even more soil compaction. Pretty sure we'll be mole ploughing next year & doing further ditch maintenance works; if it ever stops bleedin' raining! cheers, steve
  24. Excellent blog, good man I need to work out how to subscribe to numerous websites, like yours. Is there an iPad app for that?.... cheers, Steve
