  1. Well, I'd like a chipper that does 12" diameter ....but, uuuum, errrr.... can't afford it! How much do 3" or 4" chippers tend to sell for?.... could I pick one up for £1k? cheers, Steve
  2. What I mean is to power a chipper via the mini digger auxiliary hydraulics.... then I wouldn't need to have a power unit on the actual chipper. cheers, steve
  3. Even stranger is when dead people send messages to us living people! (okay I'll climb back into the straight jacket now, but can still use my tongue to type).
  4. Day 4 in the zero Facebook house.... a) I've attempted to human-auto-pilot-login-to-Facebook just a couple times today. b) my partner took a video of me washing our dirty Jack Russell in the wheelbarrow to show his automatic washing machine mode (I got wet holding him). That's been uploaded to Facebook by her so even though I'm not on Facebook for all of 2016 - I'm still on it! cheers, steve
  5. Thanks all. Does anyone make a chipper that would run off the hydraulics on a mini digger? Cheers, steve
  6. Should've gone to SpecSavers..... looks like you ended up following the signs for a campsite instead of the campanologists site.
  7. What's the cheapest used (and also reliable & up to the job) chipper you would recommend? cheers, Steve
  8. Good man/ or woman? Do you see yourself spending more time on Arbtalk & other forums? cheers, steve
  9. oh, false alarm.... my spam email is back.
  10. Just remembered something I should have mentioned earlier..... Spam email..... I was getting tons of spam email.... Signed off Facebook..... Guess what?! No spam email. I kid you not.
  11. Dammit. I have nowhere to go on this do I.
  12. Oh come on chaps!!.... please don't expect me to ditch Arbtalk and become a total hermit pitched in a beautiful coppice woodland scenery, stirring with my rustically gourged spalted ash spoon before fine dining on coq-au-rabbit after a Shittake soup starter and finishing with a heavenly blackberry & apple crumble pudding drizzled with cream from Jersey cows, waking up to bird song before sharpening my Gransfors axe aside the trickling fine bone china cup sounds of the brooks little waterfalls. errrr, actually, now you mention it!!
  13. DAY 3 In The Zero Facebook House At this time of year, (the beginning of a new one) I tend to find myself being more mentally capable of getting jobs ticked off the list; especially DIY jobs at home. Does anyone else feel like that? I already feel more rejuvenated than normal since leaving Facebook (thats my New Year resolution). It's been an interesting experiment so far.... because I've found myself typing an "f" into the web browser and immediately hitting return. That takes me to the Facebook new user signup & login page. That proves how addictive it had become. cheers, steve
  14. Hey SawSaw said "For the amount of fuel I use cost is not a factor (length of storage time is more important)." So has to be Aspen. Aspen all the way. Aspen, Aspen, Aspen. Amen (I mean Aspen).
  15. Aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen, aspen or if not aspen then it would be best to use aspen. cheers, steve
  16. I'm not sure on the details, but yeah that is a fair point. Would also be useful to have a coffee shop that was open longer hours..... although that wouldn't matter so much if there was a hot drinks vending machine at our hospital! Another bonus is that Costa actually pay their fair share of corporation tax, (unlike Starbucks & Cafe Nero). And so it appears we've both demolished my last comment! cheers, steve p.s.... a bit more investigation into our independent colunteer cafe led me to this!.... "Royal Voluntary Service wants to help create a society where everyone feels valued and involved whatever their age." Well the RVS CEO certainly feels valued to the tune of £134,589 basic salary with car allowance and health care package (2013/14). There are others on the board of directors earning in excess of £100K. The image of the retired, liitle, elderly lady giving her time to serve trea and cake to hospital visitors may be correct but of course there are fat cats getting the cream."
  17. David Hameron (I fixed that one for you Stubby).
  18. What diameter do you supply the stakes in and do most people tend to supply hazel? cheers, steve
  19. Interesting to hear thoughts on stated mpg's and real world mpg's. I'm surprised Toyota are so far off the mark. If the VW pickup is good on fuel and you don't need 4x4 thats probably a wise plan Jon. cheers, steve
  20. Should be getting 99mpg downhill out of gear Jon!
  21. Gosh. That's a tad bit much wonger! Our local NHS hospital are forcefully shutting down the independent cafe (run by locals).... guess who's being put in place.... Costa. Says it all. cheers, steve
  22. Eddie the Eagle does Eton.
  23. Save The Children pay the boss £234,000 per annum. I'm not saying it's an easy job or not hard work.... but there must be plenty of people who would do as good as/ or even better at the job for far less money. Cheers, steve
  24. Debbie Does Dorset.
  25. Stubby Eggs
