  3. have to agree with marc ,my dmm krabs after a while just don't snap shut,where as my petzl bang shut every time ,which is why i'll always be buying petzl krabs from now on.
  4. I've got the carbon ,but if I was to buy again I'd go for the alloy one's purely for the wear factor, I've had mine about 7 years and they're really worn now.

  9. took down a large chestnut for a customer last week, I knew they had a burner so asked if they wanted to keep the wood, .......no thank you we've been told chestnut is not a good burning wood......nothing I could tell them would change their minds, they would rather watch me take it all away and then buy more in.
  10. got mine today as well ,thanks Barry ,didn't buy or have ago the first time round, so I've had a quick go in the shed and feels great a lot better than what I expected, think i'm really going to like it, can't wait for tomorrow now, reducing a massive oak today and saved a bit for tomorrow hoping the zig zag would turn up.

  13. i'll have been on my own two years in April, I felt and had the same worries as you ,but like other people have said I did the flyers,did the local magazine (which I still do ) I tried adwords but gave up on that, found a great cheap web designer and he has got me on the first page and I've pretty much stayed there. The best thing I did was join checkatrade. I've heard people put it down, but I think it's great, the amount of work I've got through it is amazing and has really kept me going. If you've got any spare cash I would invest in checkatrade you will not regret it.

  18. Yeah , really pleased with it , its got a sound engine and chips well, and I got it real cheap so didn't mind spending a bit on it to get it looking good.

  21. Is there a good reason why tw have 2 offset 3 inch knives, surely 2 , 6 inch knives would chip more efficiently, and meen more hours usage before they needed changing, they must have tried it. ?
