  1. Did you treat the bottom beams (the ones directly on the ground) with anything to make them last? Or if they're pressure treated anyway, will they last OK? They look good.
  2. Thought it was to do with a specific fungus in the tree?
  3. Some good options on that web site. Would you mind giving me a rough idea of the price for a full set up? Thanks.
  4. I'd have thought you'd need to be careful with importing fresh cut wood - risk of diseases and pests. Though as Malta doesn't have many trees of their own perhaps they're not so concerned! Nice place to live.
  5. Hyacinths in flower in my garden!!
  6. That's useful to know. I assume it's just sliding table saws that will come with a fence, not just any old circular saw bench? Wondering about maximising use of wood in the future, and would be good to have the option to rip into posts or planks rather than just crosscutting everything... Thanks.
  7. Biscuit joint 'er? I ardly know 'er!
  8. Have a look at puntgunning Chap built his own punt gun and punt from scratch!
  9. Log burner, roast beef, avoiding taking the wheel off my car to try and find a trapped stone or something!
  10. I'm too lazy! That looks similar to the one in my first link. And some of the reviews did say that it blows the fuse in the cigarette lighter socket... Cheers, will have a look.
  11. I got a wee ginko as a wedding present this year. Hope it'll get that big in future! It also lost all its leaves in a day or two when we had the cold snap.
  12. Cheers, I had seen that, but as I said, I don't really want to mess around with AC/DC converters. Waste of energy, heat, extra faff etc. Plus they're not cheap to buy - that one costs more than the pump!
  13. Thanks, but that will only handle 1A of current. The pump I linked earlier needs 10A.
  14. Mainly for tyres, yes (and topping up rather than inflating from flat). Possibly the odd air mattress when camping etc. Realistically, it probably wouldn't be used often - so I don't want to chuck a whole load of money at it.
  15. Yep, it doesn't seem to be easy! Don't really want to have to get two compressors if I can avoid it. Maybe I can live with a 12DC option only. The ones on that website look good, but a bit hardcore for my needs I think. Cheers though.
  16. Hi all As the title. I'm looking for a decent compressor, to inflate tyres, air beds etc. But it would be good if it could be powered from the mains to avoid flattening a car battery / having to run the engine when there is access to a mains socket. Can anyone recommend one? I don't really want to mess around with separate AC - DC converters. This pump looks good [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/HEAVY-DUTY-TYRE-COMPRESSOR-INFLATOR-140PSI/dp/B005ERFIWE/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t]HEAVY-DUTY CAR TYRE AIR COMPRESSOR INFLATOR 12V 140PSI: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41P9ydzWX1L.@@AMEPARAM@@41P9ydzWX1L[/ame] but it's 12V DC only. Any suggestions? Cheers.
  17. Is that a lot of grass, or a thirsty mower?!
  18. Ive used year or so old petrol in my saw and hedge trimmer. Worked fine. Having said that, neither my saw nor trimmer are particulary high end kit...
