  8. I've still got a willans that I bought when I started climbing 16yrs ago that I would still climb in. My boss has a willans belt lol (No leg loops) he always says he'd still have a go in that. No thanks
  9. It's loler ruling for textile at 5yrs as that's what's outlined by manufacturers just checked my notes.
  10. A good recreational harness I'd go for the petzl sequoia light very comfortable and you can also attach additional top part to form a full body fall arrest harness. I climb every day in it and love it and its cheap. A quick look at the Hse Tree climbing guide will give you a rough outline of recommendations which you'll find online, But I recommend the "climbers companion" eBay it or wherever you purchase your harness will more than likely sell it. Have fun!!!!!! P.s wouldn't recommend climbing alone or if you do let someone know and give them a rough idea of how long you'll be.
  11. Refer to your manufacters instructions but yes 5yrs old is the loler rule.
  12. Couldn't remember what my bike was called any guesses!? Lol
  13. Why is the space between a woman's breasts and her hips called a waist? Because you could easily fit another pair of tits in there..
  14. How much we're the peltor's? I loved the mic function on the Lidls.
  15. I will have to dig out my receipt to tell you who I got mine from (liberon decking oil) but It was on a deal £16.99ish for 2.5ltrs. Really pleased with results after 3-4 coats.
  16. Do lidl still do these I had a set but they got wet 1 too many times and sadly died haven't had a chance to get back to see if they're still there.
  17. Sad times so sorry to hear when someone's been taken to early. R.I.P
  18. dont use Lancelot and Squire Cutters | King Arthur's Tools tho lovely tool but inherently dangerous. im out of action now for probably 2 months as mine almost removed the whole of my left index finger. all guards were in place etc, think my glove got caught and pulled my finger against the chin. once the skin grafts and the nerve grafts (did u know they can graft nerves?) i should be back carving again but i will never use that thing again Nasty mate hope it all heals quickly for you I've had a few close calls with the Lancelot they are lethal. They need an emergency stop like a chain break. Amazing what surgeons can do I had a Nasty fall nearly 10yrs ago broke my arm and severed a nerve they took 30cms from out my leg and did a graft they also Grafted a muscle onto a tendon to give me a wrist movement. Arms about 90% what it was but I can't complain could have been worse. Ps. Thanks for the oil advice. Looking forward to seeing this secret piece your doing for the school!! Phil.
  19. Cheers. I've purchased and applied to a few pieces some liberon decking oil. I phoned the shop Initially to ask for the osmo but he recommended the liberon and as it was on sale £16.99 for 2.5ltr. Bargain. Anyway I've applied 2 coats and the carvings are looking really nice.
  20. I'm also looking for a decent I tool for my die grinder. I have a sanding piece in my dremel set that is a drum with like a scooped out top I love using it to do eyes on my small pieces. Just need a big version.
  21. Hi I work in coulsdon I would be happy to come and do it. I'll pm you my number or you can send me yours and we will discuss. Kind regards Phil
  22. I'm left handed and the same as Simon but I'm also right footed. When I first started using a saw it all felt uncomfortable. But now I use saws both ways as I like the extra control I have of the back of the saw with my left when detailing my carvings. Just keep using it right handed you will soon be competent and comfortable.
  23. After proposing to his girlfriend at the weekend, Paddy drove to Brighton for a night of passion. As he pulled up at a red light, he slid his hand under her skirt above her stockings. She whispered in his ear, "Now we are engaged, you can go further." So Paddy drove on to Bournemouth.
  24. Paddy says to Mick "I'm booked in for a circumcision tomorrow." Mick says "I had that done when i was a day old." Paddy says "Did you? - was it sore?" Mick says "Well i couldn't walk for 18 months!"
