  1. You can make the plate say anything generally 316 is for wood only there are some exceptions, we swept a 316 liner a couple of weeks ago which was 2 yrs old and it was falling to bits as we swept it, solid fuel was the culprit! Just be carful.
  2. The stove is multi fuel however the 316 liner it's connected to isn't!
  3. I've just bought a clear view pioneer 400 for a customer they insisted even though I could get any other stove at a far better price, however clear view don't seem to give any discounts! Anyway the best price I found was at warmnation.com!
  4. You would be lucky to fill a builders bag, so around £60 but that's after you have seasoned it for a year.
  5. Hi Adam, how old are you? Is it just due to your condition why you feel you should leave the industry or is it something else? All I'm saying is that no matter what you do in life everybody has those days where you feel your struggling to go on or if the grass would be greener elsewhere, speaking from experience you don't always know what you've got/have until it's gone!! Keep your chin up and never give in,n:001_cool:
  6. Likewise!
  7. My brother is a chimney sweep, and regally power sweeps for good rustles in certain situations, we fit a stove last week and when lining the chimney discovered a birds nest in the chimney 2 feet deep, the power sweep made short work of it.
  8. What's the postcode I'd be interested in dropping some chip!
  9. I'm pretty new to the solid fuel buisness, I qualified in March and have done 15 installs since then, however it's gathering pace quicker than I thought, a local stove shop is also subcontracting work as well so bring it on!
  10. Alycicon, are you a fellow Hetas installer? How's business?
  11. Why remove the old chimney if it is already lined best option would be to do a smoke pressure test to check for any leaks, if so the best option would be to feline the old chimney. In regards to the old liner it depends on the grade their are to types 316 & 904, the 316 had a ten year guarantee and the 904 25 yrs so at 7 years old a 316 maybe towards the end of its life depending on what been burnt. If you insist on removing the old chimney and going through the roof tiles you would have to use a twin wall insulated chimney system, which is expensive.
  12. And again as you can see useless with tech
  13. A customer of mine has asked me to remove some limbs fron this tree, two over the last two years, however as you can see another branch is now dead and the leaves have brown spots all over what is it? The tree is covered by a Tpo, I presume the best thing is to apply with the council for a dismantle.
  14. Oxdale se400 good for the money!
  15. Isn't all cordwood popular?
  16. I reckon! Any chip that can be left behind will be! How many hours work before the blades need sharpening?

  20. I'm currently doing loads the best way for a small area, dig out and construct a timber frame to the desired shape / size Then lay weed suppressant membrane, then fill with a good depth of hardcore and run Over with a wicker plate, screed off with sharp sand, then lay the grass fixing to the timber frame, finally rub in kiln dried sand into the pile to bring up the grass.
