Thought bout getting greenmech 130 on finance but changed my mind. I will sort that in 2 yrs when next time the show is on will have anough for a good chunk deposit by then. My arbor eater will last till then I hope. You missed a good couple of nights camping and yes you'll have to make the effort to camp at ARB SHOW and APF next time.what day did you go on, the saterday?

At least you make an effort Steve and what you do is good Anough for what it is, if it was all singing and dancing people would be having a dig that you make to much money, you just can't win fella, keep up the good work that you do:thumbup:
  6. I use a spider and if I didt I would deffo have a zag. All climbers climb in different ways even if using the exact same kit. It's a bit like f1 drivers, some are hard on there tyres and wear them out quick because of the way they drive and orthers are easy on there tyres and make them last longer. It's a similar thing with climbing kit. Just remember that with any machcanical climbing devise you must avoid contact with anything which will put lots of force and stress on it and that means contact with the tree its self. When climbing with these devices be careful to avoid contact with any limbs when movieing in and around the tree and putting stress on the devise. Not saying by any means that this will stop any failures occurring but it will certainly prolong the life of it. Just my opinion of course:thumbup:
  7. Am no expert on this subject but surley the amount of moisture loss would be dependent on wheather conditions, wet and damp for long periods, wind, warm dry, and also location were stacked and of course timber spieces. And may be if this was the case you could almost control moisture loss to a certain degree. May be wrong and Would't be for the first time:laugh1:
  8. No worries Richie ,stay in touch and we'll sort a time to have a climb. Am in the process of sorting a REC CLIMB for probly early April 2015 always seems to be good time. Catch up soon:thumbup1:
  9. Hi Arran hope you well and all good fella. Ya look on silky's thread, I took him to have a look and we diid a few pics and a brief description. It's a well smart and solid piece of kit and the priceing even better around £200 and May be a bit less. APF on again at Ragley in 2016 make sure you there next time. Catch you soon
  10. I'll start again, been a long week and weekend for me, the poles they use at APF are approx 30 to 35 mtrs in hight total bout 100ft with 10 plus mtrs in the ground 10 to 15ft with 25 mrts above ground bout 85 mtrs. Weighed 6.5 tons when used them at show in 2012 then stacked in farm yard for 2 years then reused this year2014 and weighed in at 4.5 tons with a moisture loss of 2 tons 40 to 60% loss in moisture.think got it right now I can go back to bed:confused1:
  11. 100 Feet sorry 85 mtrs approx.
  12. Hi A- Climber always thought and always will think that paying over and way above £220 ish for any harness is a bit steep so will never go motion. They are a few now and it's a buyers market. But I must say this new Marlow harness is a breath of fresh air and not only looks good it's got everything a harness needs for around the £195 £200 mark. Trust me they will sell reall really well and you herd it here first and if silky fox is on the case I need say no more that guy knows his stuff.
  13. Hi rich, just go on to the Marlow web site but if you hang on for a bit I will hopefully get one in next few weeks so you can try mine first.
  14. Yes. Just incredible. APF back at Ragley in 2016 so they can't use same poles again. Poles are 100 mtrs total ht with approx 10 mtrs in the ground 85 to 90mtrs above.
  15. Can't help you there but am always amazed at how much moisture timber loses in moisture when stacked. For instance the 2 climbing poles used at the APF were used In 2012 then they were stacked in the farm yard they weighed 6.5 tons. 2 years later they used the same ones and they weighed 4.5 tons. 2 tons in moisture.wow
  16. Hi Justin just want to say thanks to you and your team to keep smileing and for being very helpful. Love my XFit jacket shame you did't have the polls but gave my details so hopefully will sort them with you soon. O and could you also say thank you to the lad who gave me the sthil bunting and banner please. What a nice kid. Cheers Wayne:thumbup:
  17. Yes deffo will be there it's in the diary. Just posted on other thread we should all wear a tash and go as magnum pi. What you think?
  18. Me and the miss's have just about managed picked our selfs of the floor and managed to stop laughing that's a great pic but an't sure how you see me. I'll take it as a complement. Funny thing is though I have and wear white jeans,I'll wear them down to the tuckers in December just for you and mendips:blushing:
  19. Ha could have ment that but no. The motion is one of the top prem harnesses:thumbup:
  20. The silkster, how the hell did you get magnum? I have't even got a trash, or is it the Ferrari
  21. Ha the motion is the man city of the harness world but the Marlow is the leeds utd of the 70,s ( just brilliant ) sorry for the footy anelagy.dont want to start of a football rant. And will imo take some beating. Cant wait to get mine:thumbup1:
  22. I also had a look at it seemed ok but silly price imo.whats the idea of that piece of leather at the back just to cover the makers tag. What a wast of time. Still nice harness but after seeing the marlow its a no contest.for me anyway and I,am real fussy bout my kit:thumbup:
  23. Hi silk hope all good and you injoyd spending most of the Friday night and steady in our company? Was a fun few days and look forward to many more with yourself and all the rest of the lads. Anyway just to say have e-mailed joe from Marlow who is the Midlands rep and have made him aware that the harness is on your blog and have ask'd him ref availability of the it. When I saw it on Thursday and had a look at it I thought that if they price it right they have a winner on the harness market. Glad I took you and showed it to you and confirming what I already knew.spot on😜
  24. Hi Craig nice to meet you to day and thanks for the demo of the chain sharpener and I will definitely be getting one. Silky was impressed aswell which is always a good recommendation. Thanks again. WAYNE.
