  1. Nice job done in a tricky place, looked good.
  2. Surely both stats should be on the top pipe, ie the flow from the boiler. This would mean the pump will come on sooner.
  3. Right..I have heard this mythical Proclimber jacket mentioned a few times now in recent threads but can anyone prove that it does exist as I can find no info on the internet:001_smile:
  4. I have the gransfors splitting axe, lovely well made piece of kit. The shaft is quite short ( no comments please) which means you can build up some nice speed in the swing. Much prefer it to my long splitting maul.
  5. Mine seems to have a mind of its own regarding oiling of the chain. Seems to only oil when it feels like. Perhaps it needs more regular cleaning.
  6. Same here, didn't wear gloves on 13mm rope but hands started getting trashed when I changed over to tachyon. Now I am using the thin red gloves from pfanner, they seem to give better grip on the rope than bare skin too. They do occasionally get snagged in karabiners though but I can live with that.
  7. Been burning old dead conifer past few weeks, burns well with good heat, what's not to like.
  8. Agreed, that minuscule chain seems to hold its edge well even on harder woods.
  9. Tried mine on oak the other day taking off split branches and dead wood, cut like a dream.
  10. Would a chimney brush have removed that.? Can't tell how hard the deposits are.
  11. Stihl ms150t gets my vote, it's sweeeeeet.
  12. Terrible, really sorry for your loss.
  13. See the thread 'The art of zig zag', there is lots of info to be found and user feedback.
  14. I've watched a few of these programs unfortunately. What gets me is if they are all law abiding folk like they claim to be why do so many of the men in the program insist on having their faces blurred out so they can't be identified? Maybe because when there's no trees to butcher or drives to tarmac they are out doing burglaries on the elderly and vulnerable. Just my opinion of course!
  15. Just cancelled my zig zag order. I will wait and see what comes to light with this/these failure/s. Oh well spiderjack it is then!
  16. Yes they nearly went under a while back but were bought out by OCS.
  17. Excuse my ignorance but what is this spear cut?
  18. I like ash, dries quickly, nice to split, gives off good heat. Beech and oak always smell nicer when burned though. Oak just takes too long to dry out.
