    Hi all, Forget my current job. I have spent 20 years working on garden machinery inc saws. 10 years at a main Stihl dealer, 7& half for myself and 2&half at another Stihl dealers. GardenKit is spot on. If fuel has caused the damage it is NOT warranty. We need to know the facts and a breakdown of the costs before talk of law and making the dealers life hell. Keep us posted as I am very interested in this case (putting my Aspen hat back on) Good luck and I hope it is all sorted quickly and cheaply for you.

    If anyone works at a Briggs & Stratton dealer they will be told off if they don't know a DC shunt is. The other way is to spend mega money on a automotive multimeter. A lot of Briggs test kit is clever simple and if used properly can tell the user loads of information and save loads of time and or costly parts. Is this the start of a new game guess the workshop tool??

    Hi William, PM me with the dealers you contacted that did not know about Aspen and I will send them some information. I can't help with the spec of Motor Mix as there is very little information in the Stihl catalogue or on their website when I looked.     Hi Corylus, The 5 litre can's can go in house hold recycling when they are empty as the are made form the same plastic as milk bottles. Aspen is available in Europe in 20 litre plastic containers but the cost to you would be the same as buying the 5 litre cans. Also I don't think you can have 20 litres of flammable liquid in a plastic container here in the UK. All the best Eddie

    Thank you for your post, As you will see we have expanded our stocking dealers from 150 to 211 over the last 12 months and this continues to grow every month. We are working hard to make Aspen more available to those that would like to use it. I will see If we could give a time when the delivery would come to help those having Aspen delivered direct. I was including the time mixing the 2-stroke oil and measuring it out. We would like everyone to consider all the factors before writing Aspen off. It is up to you what fuel you use.

    Hi all. Lots of people comment about the cost of my product. But what is the cost of your time? You guys should add up the time you are spending with different cans, Funnels, Jugs and driving to and from the petrol station. What is the cost of your time at your normal hourly rate and do you charge the customer for all this time? We deliver direct to you ready mixed fuel in 5litre cans that can have a none spill spout fitted, so no waste. If you buy 270 litres or more your dealer will give you discount and delivery is free! A smaller amount and it's just £20 delivery! Food for thought? Eddie

    Aspen2 uses a higher grade of oil than Stihl's Red 2-stroke and Aspen is approved by Stihl.

    Hi, We have lots of collectors of classic saws all running on Aspen2 at 50:1 as you say it was made before 2-stroke is advanced as it is today. Bit like the handbook for a old car saying to use crossply tyres when we all know things have moved on. Kind regards Eddie

    Hi TGB, I will give Hereford Mowers a call tomorrow. The price of Aspen has not gone up since last April and we are the only importers of Aspen in the uk. I am sorry you have been misinformed. So pleased you found another supplier who has Aspen in stock and looked after you. Please keep me informed about poor service and lack of stock from our dealers and I will try and help.     Make sure you turn the carb and clean it up each way. So the dirt can fall out. Total strip down of the carb is the only way to do a proper job.

    Hi Woodworks, You are right, but the fact pump fuel is classed as Toxic and Aspen is classed as Harmful must prove one is better than the other. Small engines (chainsaw or Lawn mower) are far less efficient than a car engine with fuel injection, ECU, Catalytic converters, Exhaust gas recirculation etc... 1 hour mowing a lawn is the same as 300 hours stood behind a car. Add to this the fact at a 2-stroke engine dose not burn all the fuel and so you are also breathing unburnt fuel. Aspen was specifically designed to help the Swedish forestry workers who were suffering from inhaling the exhaust from their saws.     That's right only 10 ingredients plus low soot 2-stroke oil. Aspen is only classed as Harmful. Pump fuel is TOXIC.

    Before using a Stabilizer please read the ingredients and see what extra toxic chemicals you will be burning along with the 130+ in the pump fuel.
