  1. For convenience Timpson Store Locator by Timpson usually have a kiosk in your local supermarket. Regards, Steve.
  2. 2.7 x 2 x 1.5 = 8.1 minus slopey bit so probably nearer 6 I would never fill it though
  3. I would be most interested in exploring this (with cited case law or citable legal reasoning), i think another thread would be appropriate so as not to detract from nor derail the OP's thread. In fairness he's not a bad lad. He's keen and wants to learn and get on, he's just spent too much time in one place and hasn't experienced the wider picture. Am i sounding too soft - i'm running a business not a charity.......? Will start another thread, apologies to the OP. Regards, Steve.
  4. Certainly not if his excess is anything like mine - £500 He just apologised and never invoiced me for the day so i took that as a gesture towards the rope and left it at that, therefore effectively going halves on it. I was quite shocked when he said the lack of invoice was an oversight, wanted paying for the day and his negligence is my financial responsibility. I don't moan about chains hitting buried steel or rocks in trees etc. that's an unavoidable part of the job, but this was a bit different. Sorry for the derail but all relevant.
  5. Home made, load/unload one handed job done. Slide chipper back one position, remove number plate and tip. Remove pin, pull trailer clear and stand chipper up. Simples
  6. ....and insurance. Just had a self employed subby groundy cut up my new climbing line (while i was climbing on it) and decided it is for me to pay to replace it:confused1:
  7. The fact that it's not on Ebay for a start.......
  8. As soon as i heard the chorus i had to revisit the original. Takes me back to '1984' which was supposed to be a film not a Government instruction manual:thumbdown:
  9. 40's now myself and recently damaged tendons where they fix into the bone in elbow. A&E said sling for two days and Ibuprofen for two weeks to reduce swelling whilst resting so i went back after a week pumped full of Diclofenac potassium which like all pain killers only mask the pain which is the body's natural way of telling you to stop. Back to not being able to pick up a coffee cup so more Diclofenac to get through the day because 'don't work don't earn' and back to before day one. Going insane through frustration of not working and customers stacking up so back to work on Diclofenac and now done tendons between elbow and tricep as well and starting to worry. I know where this is going:sneaky2:
  10. I posted this recently on another thread. I've got the Stihl one and dropped a Western Red Cedar the other day. As it hit the floor the lowest 4' section measured 18% top end and 21% base The Ash in the yard from March is also 20%, at £15 i guess you get what you pay for. I personally don't trust it. Regards, Steve.
  11. TP200PH runs 540-1000 r/min and requires 40-80hp (owners manual specs). Is the roller speed not adjustable - should be a flow valve on the side? I know it is on the 150 road tow i have. I can email you a few pages of the manual later if you want, or give Mark a call over at AT Osbourne. Regards, Steve.
  12. Another rancid smell in a Sycamore (no Stuart, the cavity not you )
  13. Whereabouts in South Wales are you and are you looking to collect or have delivered?
  14. I too am on the other end. If you came to me and said "i'm honest and hard working, presentable, really keen to get into arb and willing to take a free trial" i would say "ok, here is tomorrow's job, meet us there at 8am and we'll take it from there." You turn up on time, be presentable, courteous to customers and with good keen attitude, you'd be going home with something in your pocket and future work. You also get a good reference on here which is obviously most important:lol:. A lot of the time it's just about being in the right place at the right time (which coincidently is Thursday morning near Cardiff airport:biggrin:) All the best with your quest. Regards, Steve.
  15. Good idea, plenty of time to get used to accidently knocking that lever on smaller stuff
  16. You've convinced me with the velcro bottoms, what with winter coming up. Wasn't aware that they came in different sizes though? Regards, Steve.
  17. Another vote for the SIPs, occasionally ankle deep in a stream today and kept me dry. Best deal was not online but Forest Park and Garden, only useful if you're local though:blushing:
  18. Reminds me of this one i had by email years ago (make sure the volume is on).... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGvWPY1AjcI]Prank Airport Announcements - copyright http://www.queenhill.demon.co.uk/airspeak/air_speak.htm - YouTube[/ame]
  19. I'd be interested to hear what it is as my clutch is juddering a bit (35c14) and i'm wondering whether to get a clutch now or wait till takes out the flywheel too:blushing: pm if you prefer Regards, Steve.
  20. Solid conversion on '58 plate Navara here. Clutch and flywheel ok, just the rest of the vehicle that's cack:thumbdown:
  21. Still getting used to mine, i love it for the 'no sit-back' when inching up the stem of something really busy like a Holly, every bit of progress made counts as opposed to sitting back with the VT while trying to re-set it. Also good for mid air ascents with hand ascender and loop for feet, bit like 1/2 speed SRT. Also getting used to the trouser darkening moments when the lever gets knocked by something:scared: As everyone else has said, it's a personal preference thing so have a go with one first. Regards, Steve.
  22. Is that his private plate? Seems like the Y 3 and H are surplus
  23. 1" angle frame with 12mm phenolic resin coated ply sides and 9mm roof so it doesn't weigh much but holds about 6.5m2 Dropsides still drop down for loading timber and has a perspex window in the front with a hinged cover (so it doesn't get smashed) as it makes reversing the chipper easier. Simples
