  1. Sorry if i've missed a post, could you please point me in the right direction for a tach as i have (don't we all) plenty of saws to keep an eye on. Reasonable price with reasonable accuracy - i fully appreciate that you get what you pay for. Regards, Steve.
  2. I once had 13 wasps and one bee sting me all at once at the age of 12 and i'd take it again rather than see my eight month old son get stung on the foot today by a wasp (that wasp died a painfull death). Sorry Eggs, nice to have met you at the Arb Show, but HTFU...... Regards, Steve.
  3. Don't the costs go to the CPS (Clown Prosecution Service)? CS is regarded as a badge of honour to these scrotes. Tossing it off in the back of a van with their mates - it's their social life. I know what i would do to them, but that makes it pre-meditated and besides which would get deleted by the Mods. It has been said before a thousand times there is no justice in this country and woe betide any man that does stand up for himself, his family or property. It sickens me.
  4. Don't forget to seal the cut edges with acrylic primer though! Regards, Steve.
  5. So go to Indespension. I've redone a couple of trailers and found that they were much cheaper than specialist suppliers for the phenolic resin coated ply in 10 x 5 sheets and as they use it themselves there was no delivery charge to their depot local to me. But then i decided to do my chipbox in it and had the luxury of time. If you need a few sheets then try fleabay as the haulage becomes ok. I only paid £30 for 9mm, £38.40 for 12mm and £48 for 18mm inc. VAT (8 x 4 sheets) PHENOLIC RESIN PLY PLYWOOD 18MM TRAILER FLOOR FLOORING NON SLIP DECK DECKING | eBay They do delivery, just call them. Would recommend them. Regards, Steve.
  6. Ditto, 70cc is 25" max, i think the oil supply might struggle as much as the engine.
  7. Interested in this as i'm DDRT and want to move from a VT to SJ, but would really like to explore SRT, so it would be handy not to waste £186 while i spend forever getting round to a rec climb locally to try the alternative. Regards, Steve.
  8. Not really, out of 7 lines only one is in Welsh
  9. Looks better than my sign, but then it was only for the day at the Vale of Glamorgan Show and cost me all of about a fiver as i already had the wood!
  10. I have a 660 (36") purchased end Feb 2013 on only it's second chain with receipts to prove. I know i couldn't replace it as they don't make them anymore, but if you're interested in paying good money i could be persuaded to part with it as i'm looking to upgrade to the 880 for my milling. Regards, Steve.

I got done for £10K and was not insured for that yard - NEVER AGAIN. All the best fella. Regards, Steve.
  12. Need the 660 with 36" to mill it though! Love the 660, funds permitting i'll get a 461:thumbup1: This has got sod all to do with the weather though, apologies for the derail:sneaky2:
  13. Nothing to impress you Sir - Oak butt was only 30":blushing:
  14. And in stark contrast.... Cracking day's weather and i would say 20,000 was easily achieved. 95% were more interested in the milling than the tree work:001_huh: Plan for next year is live demo's - sponsorship RobD?? Regards, Steve.
  15. Agricultural, but stove companies, wood turners, crafts etc. 20,000+ expected tomorrow, so hoping to pick up some new customers. The Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show Regards, Steve.
  16. Lovely bit of sun today and same again tomorrow for the Vale Show. Found my pitch today and i'm within reach of the 'Fursty Frog' so i should survive Steve.
  17. Dealer is a nice guy and wants to look after his customers, it's just he hadn't heard anything from Husqvarna and i didn't want him thinking i was trying it on.
  18. This is what i understood, but the part number was the same and the bands were identical?
  19. Hi all, Within it's first year the chain brake band snapped on the 550XP as they do. I'd understood from a lot of posts on here that it is a known fault and that Husky dealers were replacing them as a warranty item, so off i went to my local dealer and enquired. He said that he hadn't heard of that being the case and certainly hadn't seen any bulletin from Husqvarna to that effect. Anyway, he took one out of the display model and gave it to me free of charge. For the sake of less than a tenner i would much rather pay for the item than have anyone think i was pulling a fast one, so can anyone confirm or deny that the above is true? Many thanks in advance. Kind regards, Steve.
  20. 20 years ago i was working inside Gatwick airport on a project which involved me cutting a steel tube. I checked that the smoke detectors had been shut off in our area and was given the necessary permit, fired up the TS350 and 20 seconds later the fire shutters came down down and shut down half the airport
  21. No, quite agree. Bellamy should buy my 346XP so i can replace it with a 372XP to bridge the gap between the 550XP and MS660 as i can't afford an MS461 while i'm saving for the MS880, new splitter and second chipper to go with the rest of my gear that doesn't get used every day
  22. The 2013 Vale Show is on Wednesday 21st August in the fields of Fonmon Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan. It's livestock, dogs etc. competing, trade stands and food hall (cizzer tent:thumbup:) details here - The Vale of Glamorgan Agricultural Show I'll have a stand up there, nothing fancy, just me with the alaskan, some logs and leaflets, so if anyone's around come say hello Regards, Steve.
