  1. Hi Jon, 60 knots (69 mph) drinking 900 litres per hour. I'd stick to the balloons if i were you:wink: A planing hull has a maximum speed no mater how many Hp you throw at it. I had a 17' ski boat with a single 125Hp which was only 10-15 mph less! Regards, Steve.
  2. Ok, one does 70 mph and slips under the radar and the other is above suspicion - either way the 1/3 ton of cocaine still gets through Boatbuilding firm supplied 'uncatchable' boats to smugglers, court hears | Mail Online
  3. My policy is Van Choice from MORE TH>N Business through Compare the Market. Other quoters were VanExtra, Admiral, Performance Direct and Autonet. I've used Autonet before but wouldn't recommend. Also using Grove and Dean at the moment for the Navara. If this is a second vehicle, you can only use your NCD on one vehicle, make sure you use a company that will give you a discount which mirrors your NCD. I think you need at least five vehicles before a fleet policy is cheaper. Regards, Steve.
  4. MORE TH>N Van Choice through the old Meerkat site Regards, Steve.
  5. Good vid as usual, but have you worn out that Sugi bar already? Regards, Steve.
  6. Is this him? http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members/bob.html

  8. Another vote for Andrew, top guy:thumbup1: Does this mean you're subbie climbing again as well? Regards, Steve.
  9. Here? Advanced Course Search - Royal Forestry Society Certificate Arboriculture (On-line
  10. I like my Stein, however the noise cancelling problem i have is not due to the ear defenders themselves, it's just the fact that they don't fit snuggly over the ears due to the chinstrap (the thing that keeps it on my head:blushing:) Regards, Steve.
  11. Apology accepted, but i see your Apbell and raise you Tom2020:001_tongue: At least Rick Stein shouldn't be affected:thumbup1:
  12. Just something to watch while i wait for Rick Stein to come on at 9pm:001_smile:
  13. Tonight 8:30pm BBC 1 Don't know what it'll be like, here's their précis....... The BBC's Panorama programme has spent six months tracking illegal timber from the Congolese rainforest to western Europe. It has revealed that the new EU Timber Regulation is failing to stop illegal wood reaching Europe. Reporter Raphael Rowe showed logs which appeared to have had its identification markings changed, to logging industry investigators Brad Mulley of Forests Monitor and Serge Moukouri of Resource Extraction Monitoring. The company that fells the logs, Taman Industries Limited, said they do not illegally export timber and a "human error" had been made while marking the logs. They agreed the stamps on the logs we filmed appeared to be changed and promised to get back to us with further details. They never did. Panorama's Jungle Outlaws: The Chainsaw Trail is on Monday 22 July at 2030 BST on BBC One.
  14. I'd rather have a mind opened by wonder than one closed by belief
  15. Pity, would like to help out but due to location it would cost me £200 in diesel:sad: However if there was a 48" MS880 on offer i'll sign up now:001_tongue: I'm sure you'll get a better offer though....... Regards, Steve.
  16. Or if you want to join the Gloria club - GREEN MECH WOOD CHIPPER | eBay £2500 and no bids yet, won't stay like that for long. I'd expect it to fetch £3k+ especially as it's the electric start 18hp version.
  17. As long as the ROW isn't reading this:lol:
  18. and it's making a hell of a mess on the floor
  19. Yet another one - Wood Chipper Greenmech 150 chipmaster 6" | eBay Shetland has more second hand chippers for sale on Fleabay than anywhere else i know. This one is the usual zero feedback and the tow hitch has recently been replaced, their roads must be murder on the hitches:sneaky2: I mean who's actually bidding on them?
  20. List is either £24k or £26k, spoke to a dealer a few months ago and he reckoned he could get somewhere near £20/21k. Regards, Steve. Edit - obviously all plus VAT
