  3. I want a virus so that i can send it as a reply to all the junk emails, SEO begging emails (particularly from AKON and his mates), suppliers from One Hung Lo's chinese emporium etc. God i'm sick of them....... Even when you set their domain name as junk email it still comes through I just want to Rant over
  4. Trying to visualize your scenario, a pair of long ladders with scaffold boards on them as they would be longer than the ramps, possibly with a few boards underneath at 90 degrees so they don't rock? Regards, Steve.
  5. Same old thing - try before you buy. Went from VT to SJ and never looked back, love the self tending once changed to 11mm. Whereabouts are you? Regards, Steve.
  6. Near Cardiff, but nothing spectacular - main road past Llantwit Major - very blowy tonight. Whereabouts in Cardiff Riggerbear? Regards, Steve.
  7. Chainsawbars ? chainsaw chains, chainsaw bars and chainsaw accessories Regards, Steve.
  8. Cheers Paul, Have emailed Polly as the site won't let me progress past a page if i don't select a £4.50 UK delivery charge? Don't you just love computers See you there.... Regards, Steve.
  9. Do we queue here or submit a booking through the link Paul? Unless I'm being a bit blind there's no address for the venue either. Regards, Steve.
  10. What phone was he using Jon? Regards, Steve.
  11. Cheers all, Left Orange because of signal issues to find O2 weren't really much better or so i thought, maybe it was just the Crapberry i had first. Things are no better with the Nokia Lumia however the cheap Nokia Asha is better. Had a cheapy nokia on Vodafone PAYG which again was no better than Orange. So cheapest handset on toss a coin network should be the answer however i need email on the move and a bit of Web so it'll have to be a Smartphone. Off to the O2 shop tomorrow to listen to all the sales bull and see if i can get something that works, might call into the other High St. emporiums as well. Regards, Steve.
  12. Just seen this and yes, if you pause the vid at 35 secs the lowering rope is running out to another tree or anchor point well away which causes the initial loading as the top gets caught. The line does not look all that heavy and it appears to have been run through a krab not a pulley so the minimum bend radius is well out of the window hence the failure and resultant accident. Had his rigging line been anchored directly below him at the foot of the tree it would still have failed but with much less of a battering for the climber.
  13. Exactly Jon, i don't want another two years of paying for something that doesn't work:thumbdown:
  14. I changed from Orange to O2 after 20 years because of signal issues and Nokia had always been the best but this latest one is cack. Regards, Steve.
  15. As of the last couple of weeks the fonts keep changing. Seems a bit like Arial narrow which changes back to normal as the mouse hovers over it:confused1:Any ideas? It's not happening on any other sites and i have no other computer issues. This is on a PC running Windows 7 64bit using IE8. Regards, Steve.
  16. Sick to death of looking at the Nokia all singing all dancing Lumia to find it can't get a signal to make a call or send a text while my bottom of the range Nokia has nearly a full signal. Need a new Smartphone but all the features in the world don't count for Jack if you can't use it. Looking at possibly the Iphone 5S or Samsung S5/Note3, was told in the O2 shop that Iphones are only worth getting if you've got other Apple products and want to integrate them. So what phone gets a signal when all others are struggling? Regards, Steve.
  17. So it looks like issue invoice for works, customer sends gift of money to paypal account which i transfer to personal bank account then forward to business bank account, no fees for me and customer has paypal take from his card. Simples Regards, Steve.
  18. Cheers Nick, There are fees due because of the use of a credit card which is what i'm trying to lower. From Paypal's opening page - Send or receive money between friends and family and we won’t charge you anything, unless the payment is funded by a credit card Regards, Steve. EDIT - You edited while i was typing !
  19. Hi Guys, Customer has just asked if i can take credit cards, i don't want to get into card readers and monthly agreements as i looked at it before and wasn't worth doing. Paypal appears to be an option however it looks like it'll cost me up to 3.4% plus £0.20 to £2, but then free to transfer to the company's bank account. Not sure the customer would like that on top of the bill (works have already been priced) and i certainly don't want to swallow it. Plus the Paypal account was hacked only four days ago:thumbdown: Any other reasonable options? Regards, Steve.
  20. Shetland is indeed the second hand chipper capital of the world This one has the usual 'new tow hitch' Lindana Wood Chipper with 360 rotation and own engine | eBay and this one Greenmech 10 wood chipper tree surgion forestry | eBay Always zero feedback.
  21. But at least it would narrow things down, we'd know it wasn't the front garden.
  22. Much better summary than mine... Regards, Steve.
  23. It's the old time/money balance. Do you want to spend Sunday night with the family/bottle of wine/ bottle of scotch etc.? Or are you already therein entrenched? Do you feel a moral need/desire to help someone and their pet in their hour of need? Do you need the money? Do you need the Kudos/publicity if you take it, or don't? Do you offer a 24/7 call out? It's one only you can decide. It hinges on so many factors that there is only one person that can make the decision. I'm sorry if that is of no assistance. Regards, Steve.
  24. Cheers, sounds good to me Regards, Steve.
  25. Evening all, From young i was always taught to run things in gently. I started my working life in a motorbike shop where i was taught that the best oil prescribed for machines was no good for running in as it protected the engine too much. Years on i knew someone who would buy new bikes (mostly Fireblades) and cane them from the showroom door and always had good performance and life from them. When i bought a Navara i babied it for the first thousand miles and it's cack compared to others. So nowadays i'm inclined to go a bit harder from the word go with engines. However i wonder if taking an MS880 from the box and putting it straight to work milling 14' of 36" 3 year old Oak is taking this a bit far. Surely that's too much. Do i need to run a few tanks cross cutting first? I'm thinking yes. By the way i run Stihl HP Super oil @ 50:1. Thoughts please. Regards, Steve.
