  2. Have a word with your local dealer. I've got one local and one localish dealer and they both beat the online giants everytime on new saws, not so good on consumables though. One even confirmed the other day that they understand people buying online, just as long as when that saw requires warranty work the customer understands that the dealer will be extremely busy and there may be some delay
  3. Ali rails for mounting solar pv panels on roofs? Marginly bigger section.
  4. Right then that's it.................I'M LEAVING ARBTALK

  6. I know you can definitely get 20" lightweight pro for 372XP (and 24" and 28") and definitley 18" sugi laminate for the same saw at half the price. Best give RobD a call Regards, Steve.

  9. Yeah no problem, run mine on 36" most of the time. Bear in mind though when milling, if you're using an Alaskan, you'll only get 29" (30" if you take the dogs off). Regards, Steve.
  10. Yup, on yesterdays update Untitled Document £12,900 +VAT
  11. Had similar to start with, handy for small jobs to chip into truck and logs into trailer with chipper - handy as logs and chip tipsite are separate.
  12. Trailer Parts and Spares TrailerTek Stick to 8" wheels as they and their mudguards are so much cheaper. Pair of suspension units and a hitch. Steel was kicking about anyway - bit of 2" box and 4" angle - out with the welding set and Bob's your father's brother.
  13. Ratchet on axle and lynch pin on front. To unload, strap off, move chipper back to next pin, unclip lighting board and tip back. Pin out and move trailer away, stand up chipper. Simples Regards, Steve.
  14. Just knock one up yourself for £120 - i did Can load and unload single handed too by tipping the trailer
  15. There's a 19-28 Safetrack in Cardiff, not sure of the year (2006?) with around 3000 hours ex hire fleet, but they want £14K +VAT for it
  16. Link is fine now, it was undergoing 'maintenance' earlier. The link i posted only goes up to 3mm for round and box, the only 5mm is angle and i guess that'll just spread:thumbdown: sorry fella. Regards, Steve.
  17. Not sure if i've missed the point here as the original link wouldn't open, but if you're after square/rectangular stickers would this do? Box Section Square Tubes, Square Plastic Tubing - Component Force - UK Regards, Steve.
  18. Hi TGB, It's not the viewing of objects at a distance i'm querying but the ability to judge how far away they are, as the brain uses information from both eyes at the same time to do this. If it is discarding the information from the non-focussing eye it has only half the information so i'm guessing it could cause an issue. I'm certainly no expert on eyes myself, i merely have two of them and know how to use them:001_smile: Time to consult the experts. Regards, Steve.
  19. Had read about this, but unsure how it affects distance perception as the brain uses the information from both eyes at the same time to judge distance. Good job the spec wasn't pollard or the giraffe wouldn't have been so lucky.

  21. I've always had excellent vision and up until today thought i still had. However when trying to inspect something very close up i found i couldn't focus on it. I moved it away an inch and focussed perfectly. A quick squint (see what i did there:001_cool:) on the web, where as we all know you can Google a cold and find you're dying from fifteen diseases, and found that it's a very common stage in life. Presbyopia | What Causes it? | How To Treat It Thinking back to childhood eye tests i remember being told that although my vision was perfect i'd be wearing glasses by the time i was 40. Oh well, time for an eye test. Regards, Steve.
  22. My LA is...... A replacement tree of a species to be agreed by the Local Planning Authority shall be planted in (.....location....) during the next available planting season (November to March) following felling and shall be properly staked and watered during periods of drought for a period of five years. In the event that the tree becomes diseased or dies another similar sized tree shall be planted in its place. Reason: To ensure that the visual amenities of the area are protected.
  23. Try giving Andy a ring at Arborist Training | Chainsaw Courses, Forestry Courses + Many More... i think it's gone to integrated assessments now. He's Cardiff based so going by your User Name he could be local, unless of course you're in Liverpool Regards, Steve.
  24. As they were dealt with on a five day notice they had obviously lost their Statutory Protection. Replanting is usually a condition of ammending the TPO to allow felling. As the trees were no longer protected i can't see how the LA could enforce a breach of condition notice (with fines). Town and Country Planning Act 1990 Section 206 subsection 5 Town and Country Planning Act 1990 If the owner doesn't replant the duty passes to the new owner. I welcome views on this from the more knowledgeable members. Caveat, the trouble with free advice is you get exactly what you pay for
