  1. Yeah I rate the ranger having had several over the years and never had any major problems just the general wear and tear bits and bobs. My friend had and earlier l200 and it might of just been a bad one but contanstly wanted for something engine related, I think final straw with it was head gasket and cracked head. Bob
  2. Yeah mate I've done them, they really are easy. Most people worry about timing belts but you ain't going to get an easier on to do than a ranger 2.5 Best thing for you to do is grab a Haynes manual or I could probably send you the etis timing belt instruction. Bob

    Willow

Seasoned properly it will burn just fine, but doesn't last or give out much real heat, it's burnt and gone and ready for the next bit before you know it.

    Prices

Yep as above builders bag holds between .6 - .7 of a cube We're charging around £85 quid a cube hardwood. Bob
  5. Wouldn't of thought so. The only way I can see is a deterrent is to have it to hard to nick in the first place and make sure you got damn good insurance that covers everything (even on site and in transit). I would of thought the sort of people who use this nicked stuff don't give 2 hoots if it's marked or got your postcode engraved all over it etc, or are sold to people who knows (that it's fell off the back of a lorry) paid the going rate for such gear, probably don't give a **** either. The chances of you or any other other professional arb guy ever seeing this gear is use is so so slim not to mention going over and checking it out for any tell tale marks. Bob
  6. I put a new set on this week. Have had bfg before not massively impressed to noisey. I have a set of maxxis on my shooting truck so went for them on my ranger. Nice tyre not noisey
  7. When I read the name of the thread I though my missus had started it
  8. Have you considered an ifor p6e Sure the sides don't come off but nothing stopping you from strapping stuff down on top of the sides. Light as anything you can pull it around with 1 hand like a wheel barrow.
  9. It will say the min thickness of the disk around the middle somewhere too so you will be able to see how far away from it you are. Proberly by the looks of it miles away, there isn't even a lip on the discs
  10. How do you face them up are they ment to be flat? Or do they have a shape to them. Cheers
  11. Yeah seems to rev pretty hard goes like stink
  12. Hi I've lent a mates stump grinder and got a couple of sycamore stumps to do. It's only a little stump grinder a Midlands power 13hp It's more than painfully slow, so I had a look at some videos and even other small grinders seem to chew through bits loads quicker. The stumps are approx 12inch diameter. It just doesn't seem to chip the wood away at any speed seems could do it as quick with the chain saw file. Can I sharpen this sort of teeth or are they knackered ?? Any help greatly received Bob
  13. Hi, I have the snap on set they are bloody brilliant well worth getting hold of your local snap on man having a chat see if there are any on offer or offers coming up. When I bought mine I got the hole set for around £155 on special I'll post a pic later on when I'm home. Think they worked out same place as a halfords set when on offer. Bob
  14. Do you have to have the gate down on your ranger for 3.
  15. Hi Same as you I run 2 with the gate down, king cabs and single cabs 2 go on with gate up. Don't think you will get 3 on anything unless you want to put them on top of each other.

What sort of quantity you after.
  17. In the very beginning we stored wood in a 20ft container it sweated that much the condensation was dripping off the roof. Shipping containers just don't have no where near the airflow. Wood didn't dry but grow some nice mould
  18. Yeah weren't his name James Harness ? He was riddled with pain back then
  19. Must admit it is one of the things I do watch on tv. Watched it from the very beginning all 5 series
  20. Looking at a pto saw bench, they seem very reasonable on price.
  21. Some connects came with factory option of safe under passenger seat, nice option if you get it or you can buy the safes off eBay etc. Nice for phones wallets cash from the jobs etc. Completely out if sight and safe. Had several connects and combos over the last 10 years. Side loading door damn handy wouldn't be without one if was buying another. Also can be nice if it has rear seats that fold away completely. Always handy for that 3rd person. Bob
  22. The ibc is pretty close to 1.2m Bob
  23. Nice one I'll have a rummage around some old threads.
