  1. Hello all, Having sold the newer Iggesund bars and standard set up for a while now, most of the feedback from customers does seem to be down to personal preference and how it preforms for them. Overall I feel it would be fair to say that the split is around 50/50. I think the new bar came in at the end of 2013. A lot of customers have changed the set up on their WP30/36 processors and I don’t believe many have then gone back to what they’d had before. The newer bar is specially built for the WP processors by Iggesund but it is of a high quality. I'm currently working with Farmi to bring the price down and progress is being made. Should anyone feel that there is a defect with their bar then it’s always worth giving me a call to discuss. If you have a newer machine, with the black Iggesund bar, but would like to change to the standard bar with the lift wedge. Then you’ll need: The old style mounting plates Lift wedge Oregon bar If you have an older machine with the standard bar and lift wedge, and want to change to the new bar then you’ll simply need the new style plates, with the bar. All of which is in stock at the moment. A good opportunity to see the new set up is often at shows For further information, don’t hesitate to call me. I'd be happy to discuss this with anyone BR Calum@Riko 01420487300

  6. I was lucky enough to go with work but it wasn't easy to find flights or accommodation two weeks before the show. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible; it just wasn’t easy or cheap as expected. We flew into Copenhagen from Gatwick and hired a car, drove 3 hours north on the motorways to Jonkoping. I think the flights were less than £150 return, each. Thursday morning – Saturday afternoon. Traffic queues to get into the car park were 3 hours long if you arrived later in the day!!! So we found the car parks exit on a Google maps and drove in backwards, which took about 30 mins, via the forest tracks which were all accurately marked on the software. The local police covered most of the nearby entrances to the forest but once you find a track then no one’s going to stop you. 4G coverage was also pretty much everywhere should you get lost. No 4x4'ing... all done in a 17 plate Yaris! The show its self was an eye opener… it would drive any health and safety officer nuts. A lot more relaxed than a UK forestry show. The lay out was really easy to follow and demos ran almost all day. I think we walked 8 miles on the Saturday, so take some walking boots and a decent set of waterproofs!

If you're heading to the Arb show this weekend then please do speak with the guys there for more details. Stand number D10 to D12 As always, we'll have a great range of machines on offer... 9. That sounds like a handy tool. Post some pics when its done If you feel we can help source any parts like the grab, hydraulic valves, rotators, etc. then give us a shout. I'll do the best price I can BR Calum@Riko 01420 487300
  10. Hi Woody, We've supplied a few Uniforest vertical splitters with a winch but all of them PTO, or the combi set up (PTO/3 phase). The winch would relie on the tractor to act as a ground anchor. If you were to go with a petrol or electric machine without a linkage then bear in mind you'd need to tie it down to something heavy! As well as potentially requiring an electrical feed. After speaking with a few of our customers at shows etc., none would go back to a standard splitter. The wireless control options aren't to much more either. The video below shows Uniforests latest splitters with all the optional extras such as the two height table, chainsaw holder, tank holder, 4 way knife, winch and more. Please don't hestiate to call for further details. We should have a splitter at the Arb show this weekend. Unlikely to have a winch but it'll give a very good idea of the build quality BR Calum@Riko 01420 487300 [ame= ] [/ame]
  11. Morning Paul, We have built a few front loader grabs for pedestrian skid steers and smaller loading shovels. With rotators and without. Big and small grabs We have also modified 3pt. linkage attachements to fit... Similar to the red and green RRZ110 below BR Calum@Riko 01420 487300
  12. A few pics from the 2016 APF BR Calum @ Riko 01420 487300
  13. If there is anything in particular PF, we're always happy to work out a deal after the shows BR Calum @ Riko

  15. Riko UK will be exhibiting at the East Anglian Game & Country Fair this Saturday and Sunday (22nd & 23rd April) which is being held at the Euston Estate near Thetford, just off the A11. As always we'll have a huge range of machinery on the stand including an AGT850 alpine tractor, timber trailers with cranes, log splitters, saw benches, Uniforest winches, a Farmi WP36 firewood processor, Kinetic 8x8 mini forwarder and much more. Deals are certainly to be had with our guys manning the stand which is located in the Forestry section Game & Country Fair, Euston Estate, 22nd & 23rd April 2017 BR Calum @ Riko 01420 487300
  16. Hi Fonzy, It's 540 PTO gear but with 400 rpm which is about half - 3/4 revs I think (depending on the tractor). Even then I'd still reccomend running it at no more than 350rpm as the machine is plenty fast enough, you'll save fuel and wear on the pump/gearbox 80 degrees is pretty normal. On a hot summers day, I'd give it a break if it heads towards the high 90's Check the gearbox oil Give me a call to discuss, Calum @ Riko 01420 487300
  17. Johns correct - The pipes OD is 8mm and ID is about 5.5mm. I do tend to have a few lengths of the official hose on the shelf. As well as the none return 'check' valves and 90 degree elbow push fittings Over time the mechanism may need adjusting and although fiddley it is a very basic design. If the bearing is applying to much pressure to the hose then it will naturally wear out faster. There is a section in the manual on how to set the lubrication system but if its not making sense then please don't hesitate to call or email us BR Calum@Riko [email protected] or call 01420 487300
  18. We see a few alpine tractors, of all makes and models, which are over 10 years old and have less than 500 hours. I think the best one was nearly 15 years, original owner and only 120 genuine hours for a little bit of grass cutting each year. At the opposite end of the scale I have a couple of customers who have gone well beyond 7000hrs on similar aged AGT & AC tractors You can't get any more basic than an AC Tigre and parts are also readily available.
  19. Hello all, I have been told the in-feed chambers are better reinforced on new the machines. The ‘spare part’ version has also had the same structure changes. However we have only really sold them to customers who’ve been loading the processors with a crane, digger or log deck with a drop to it. There have been other contributing factors in some rare cases but we will always do our best to help out when we can; be it a newer machine, older machine or a recently purchased second hand machine. Constructive feedback is also welcomed on an email so we can forward it onto the factory. For example, Woodworks sent us an email with images of the modification he’s made. They were swiftly sent onto the factory. We also had a great opportunity to discuss the WP30/36 with Farmi at the APF and some of our comments have been taken into strong consideration. Give us a shout if you feel I can be of any help. Although we are officially closed from the 23rd till the 3rd, we will unofficially be checking emails over the festive break should you need anything. Have a great Christmas & new year all BR Calum @ Riko 01420 487300
  20. We have a new tractor hydraulic one in stock Telescopic chassis 5m long and 25cm wide Other sizes available The hydraulic models can be retro fitted with a petrol engine or electric motor at a later date if required Pricing for this model is around £2350 +vat Give me a call for further details BR Calum @ Riko 01420 487300
  21. like Al said, DD hire. Or you can try DanEquip in Bordon
  22. I think our representative in North Wales sells those, Sion at Tread light forestry. Much thicker than a road cone and worth the money! I've certainly sold a few to fit an 18hp Yanmar's & similar size Kubota's The 35M (3.5 ton) has a Cat. 1 and 2 linkage. Weighing around 250kg with the cable We can offer the 30M (3 ton) which is the slightly lighter model weighing around 200kg with the cable. This has a cat. 1 linkage but lacks a few of the features the 35M has (bottom pulley, chainsaw holder and tow hitch option)
