  1. We looked at the Muldy 3500 during Agritechnica, Germany, back in November but from memory prices started around 18,000 euro I think. Very well built trailers and good design though. The major disadvantage of the tipping option is weight and carrying capacity. We have only built one because the customer insisted but the more options you add, the less you can legally carry Calum@Riko
  2. Hi Simon, I hope the saw bench and log splitter are going well The fast tow trailer is designed and built by Riko, the cranes imported from Italy. Prices tend to start at around £14,000 +vat but each one is bespoke and made to order. They also come with an IVA certificate. Yes, we are currently in the process of looking at lower cost options and we'll look to get a machine over for testing in the new year BR Calum @ Riko
  3. Some customers have asked if they can place a reasonable order confirmation to reserve a machine with the intention of paying the remaining balance in January or February. We are more than happy to accept this and welcome any similar questions
  4. Hi Guys, Big J Not a problem and please let me know how you get on. Give me a call while you’re in the shop if you get stuck on anything technical. If the engine isn't running at full capacity then the splitter will also be struggling or bogging down. About the guards HSE did approve the Farmi’s without the need of any guarding around the splitting chamber a couple of years ago. So the old machines do still meet the regulations. This is because the operator cannot reach, or get involved with, the chamber while the machine is being operated. As the new guards arrive into us already fitted we are obliged to sell them attached. We have sold machines to repeat customers who say they are a pain initially but they do get used to them after a while. Some businesses, particularly with staff, hire shops and local authorities; see the guards as an additional favoured precaution Other modified features would be, Farmi WP36 has been fitted with a double pump system for around 3-4 years. There are only a few single pump WP36 machines out there The winch belt for the conveyor is now on the 'engine side' of the machine. The original machines had them on the 'controller side' up over the splitting chamber on a bar. We now no longer bang our heads 3 or 4 times during a demo A later favourite would be the bar options. The older models had a traditional Oregon bar with a little 'wedge' over top to help the cut. This has now been replaced by a thicker harvester style bar which seems to last a lot longer Splitting lever option, which can be retro-fitted, has been quite popular. These basically transform the machine into a splitter with conveyor. The saw motor now has an updated 'cast flange'. These are is a lot stronger and durable than the original aluminium ones The WP30 machines are now fitted with the same WP36 bar giving them the 14"/36cm cut too. The pump, splitter and other main components have remained the same. These modifications haven't happened over night of course. Just over the last few years I hope this has been helpful Calum

  6. Morning all, Big J, Please give me a call if you are continuing to have issues with the WP36. If the chain is constantly jamming then there will be something wrong. This is likely to be a simple fix and we may be able to get it sorted over the phone. I would also be more than happy to speak with the supplier/hirer direct if you prefer so we can provide any technical knowledge. We have sold the WP30 and 36 machines to all sizes of firewood merchants and hire shops. Yes we get constructive feedback on certain features (as does every machine from user to user) but not once have I had a negative review on the whole processor itself. I feel you have been let down in this case but we would like to help if possible All the best Calum @ Riko 01420 487300
  7. Hi Matt, The Uniforest 35M does fit the AGT835 without any modifications required to the linkage. This is because the PTOs off set as far as it can be allowing plenty of space for the geometry movements. We do get calls from customers who have purchased an Igland to say that is very tight and we also suggest extending the link arms. You will need the extensions to make enough room but it'll be a great set up once its fitted As for other manufactures, such as Tajfun and Krpan, we haven't had any feedback so I'm not sure how they compare. Give me or Stephen a call if you have any questions or if you think we can help, Calum @ Riko 01420 487300

  9. Hi Guys, Regarding the Riko grabs we currently have two manufactures, both of which have been pointed out on this thread: The 'Country' grabs come from the manufacture who builds our small 1.5 - 5 ton timber trailers and cranes. They are a great size for light weight use with excavators (3 ton tops), small pedestrian skid steers, small cranes and more. But as pointed out all you need to bear in mind is that they are designed for small timber cranes and not really diggers so a careful operator will help increase its life (like any machine, and all grabs have their limits). On the other hand we have sold at least 40 of these which are attached to all sorts of machines and not had any direct negative feedback. If you increase the weight of the grab by adding more reinforcements then it'll reduce your lift capacity. The smallest 70cm opening grab with 1 ton rotator will weigh around 40kg at a guess. The Uniforest grabs come from our manufacture of winches, skidding grabs and some splitters. They are stronger than the Country grabs but designed more for the larger machine. Again up to a limit. The 1100, 1300 and 1500 grabs are all now made of Hardox. I think the gripping force is around 6 ton on the 1100 and 9 ton on the 1800. The 1100 grab weighs about 75kg plus rotator. All made in Europe with an EC stamp No thread hijacking intended Pedrod and I hope you don't mind me posting Cheers, Calum @ Riko
  10. In addition to the AGT835 forestry, which has been around for a few years, Agromehanika have now said they've been working on an 850/860 option (48hp/58hp). Pricing and further details should be available during August/September. The forestry set up will include a 280 wheel upgrade, front blade and full guarding (as pictured). Currently we are able to offer the popular AGT850 on 280 wheels with bi-directional seating, roll bar, independent PTO and 16x16 synchronised gears for £16,000 +vat as a promotional offer. This price has been held for at least 2 years with help of the euro. If you require more inforamtion about the Alpine tractor range please feel free to call. 13. Hi guys, Just to answer the questions Uniforest will offer (roughly) the following length cables for the 85H/HPro winches. 135m x 11mm 120m x 12mm 100m x 13mm All cables are high quality and double flat/smooth The winch sizes range from 3 ton up to 12 ton. Unfortunatley I do not have a lot of information on the skyline system just yet but it will probably be launched later this year. Brochures are being created as we speak Cheers, Calum @ Riko
