  1. Well it's still under warranty at the moment so it's gone to the dealers to be sorted
  2. All very helpful stuff, gonna give it a go when the break has been fixed, went ping for no apparent reason yesterday, is that a common thing?
  3. Fair enough tree spotter, just what I thought up on looking at it for a very short period of time but a I said, apart from that it looks an feels nice
  4. Just been down the local dealers to sort out a break band for the 550 and seen one sat on the stand, apparently they only got one for display purposes haha but they let me run it up and it sounds nice and crisp and it pretty rapid through the revs, my only gripe on first appearances is that the strop loop is plastic and looks as though its gonna break rather quickly but apart from that it feels nice in the hand and sounds fine, just have to wait and see what the reviews come back like as to weather I delve into the depths of my pocket for one haha Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. We didnt no, maybe should have done but was too keen on getting it cleared as the horses on the yard were worth up wards of £30k. heres a pic of the bark Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Will grab a pick when I get home and post it up. The thing that got me questioning weather it was poisonous or not was that the chip smelt like laurel chip which I know is poisonous, I should have just gone with my gut instinct...ah well, you live and learn I guess. In future I shall be treating anything that smells like almonds as poisonous haha All sorted now as well, me and my brother went and cleared it all up this morning, loaded a hi sided transit full in 35 mins , knackered now though haha
  7. looked it up and aparartely it produces cianide in the leaves
  8. Thank you and bugger it...have tipped this load at an equine yard and I read that it's poisonous to horses, looks like ill have to go pick it all back up now
  9. Took a tree down today and am unsure what it is, it grew up with several stems but not a massive spread in the canopy and the leaf stems are red in colour, any ideas? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  14. Thank you for the suggestion but tried a couple of dealers this morning with no luck, looking and another option now...wondering if its possible to run a 3/8 lo pro on either a cannon or Sugi quarter tip bar Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Has anyone got an idea if I can get one from the uk? There seems to be plenty state side but can't seem to find any over here
  16. Perfectly safe and very easy and smooth, I too haven't been climbing long but soon moved onto the hc with vt and have never looked back. The only thing I will say is that the vt can be a little tempremental but once you get used to it it's like second nature, there are other knots that can be used but I find this one the best I've tried
  17. Was nice to meet you too, will pm you in the week regarding a carving bar for an echo
  18. There safe working load is a good bit under what they will actually lift and...if you get more people/bags of cement on the back as counter balance it'll lift even more haha. they used to load our iveco daily tipper no problem.
  19. Worth there weight in gold in my opinion, a fencing contractor I worked for had one and I clocked up well over 300 hours on the thing, really useful and never wanting for more power!
  20. He didnt slow down to 30 though by the look of it
  21. Wait till the arb show and see what bargains you can pick up . As for suggestions I cannot help alot although, I do know a guy with the new pfanner trousers and he really rates them
  22. Cheers for the advice woodcrafter, it did start out as a meerkat but I made a mess of the head so I cut it off and this is what came of what was left haha
  23. Looking good, I made an attempt at a bear today but it didnt go too well haha, needless to say...it is now fire wood haha so not a total waste, how long did it take you?
  24. I did at the back and did some cuts to add texture at the front, I have a little soldering torch which has a fine flame. I basically just burnt around the edge of the grain in the timber
