  1. Well I have been told again today by one of the bosses employes that continual use of stihl oil will seize my saw up in a matter of weeks!! Then the climber I was working with said said just use their fuel, that's what it's there for hahaha
  2. Haha slipped that one in there!! Have considered aspen but can't see the price justifiable
  3. Fair enough, question answered, just thought I had better check, could have been expensive if he was right, cheers for clearing that up guys
  4. So I went out to a quick interview today for some subbing work with a local tree service an landed my self several days . Now down to the serious bit, he uses stihl's and stihl oil but as I have a 550xp he said I had best bring my own fuel as stihl oil will kill a husky in no time. Now I am currently using stihl oil but he's got me worried that I'm damaging the saw by not using the husqy xp oil . Can anyone shed some light on this? Don't really fancy killing my saw
  5. This seriously need reporting only I don't know how to. There is no way this is a 338xpt! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/huqvarna-338xpt-top-handle-chainsaw-/160995202246?pt=UK_Home_Garden_GardenPowerTools_CA&hash=item257c0fd4c6
  6. Haven't got anything to compare them too but I have the stein phantom and I can't fault them, good boot, nice weight and very comfortable
  7. Got a few floating shelves at home and all I did was pretty much made some of the T brackets and then drilled and recessed the timber so it fits flush and just attached to the wall using screws and rawl plugs
  8. Ahh cool, that stump grinder looked good, keep me posted on the progress, I love fabbing things up, shame I haven't got a tracked machine or I'd be welding all the time haha, get some pics up when your done as well
  9. Couldn't agree with you more, spent 5-6 years driving tractors in devon age 16-21/22 and it was amazing how many times I had to get out of my tractor to reverse someone's caravan 10' so I could get past!
  10. This just popped up on my YouTube feed Looks quite a good bit of kit, don't think it would take much to fab one up using a tracked dumper/barrow if you know what I mean, would love to have a go at one but don't own a tracked machine haha, what's others thoughts on this?
  11. At 1500 you'd be better off booking with the bloke I went with for £360 and getting a bnb for the night hahaha would be cheaper!
  12. Had a quick look online and found out the penalties are as follows "• 9 Penalty Points (3 For the missing Licence entitlement and 6 for no Insurance - owing to fact you are driving without a licence) • A Maximum fine of approx. £5000" Plus they will instantly seize your vehicle and trailer and impound it Is it worth the risk? No in my opinion, the cost of training is far less than the penalties, your decision really though
  13. Well done mate . It's only £20 an hour here haha and I know what you mean about the handbrake, nothing more annoying than being moaned at for that haha

  22. When does this happen, hope I'm not too late
  23. Wow that's expensive, mine was £360 for 10-11 hours training, hire of the vehicle and trailer and the test
  24. I'm talking a bit older than the pumas mate, cannot fault the cummins strait six up front, that's what made that tractor for me
  25. Got this same problem with my gx670 but haven't managed to sort it as if yet, will be working on it at the weekend and will update as to weather I sort it or not
