  1. It's surprising how well they stack up against a landrover offroad too, the only thing it lacks is a diff lock
  2. I intend too, getting the tow bar fitted Monday. It's plated towing capasity Is 1300kg
  3. It's no racing car but its not bad, yeah it's 1.3, 30-40 mpg depending on how you drive but cruises along nicely at 60. No there the standard arches, there quite flared as standard, just have to trim them a bit to fit the tires, if you look at a standard jimny there is a little flat bit that come from where I've trimmed my arches and its just a case of taking that bit off
  4. And thank you both for the compliments, it's a tricky one though, get it to this stage and all I want to do is start putting front and rear winches on, can become a bit of and a session but I'm pretty happy with it no so will probs leave it till such times as I need a winch
  5. Well I bought it with the suspension lift so it's just been wheels tyres and transfer box, wouldn't have done the transfer box but the old one snapped off so had no choice, think its cost me around £2500 to get it where it is now
  6. Hello all, heres my little start up truck/toy, been a really good truck to me and would recommend to anyone wanting a little run around. After snapping my transfer box off a couple of weeks ago due to the silly ally mounts corroding I spent some pennies on a rock crawler transfer box and some nice wheels and tires so now it's all fitted I thought I'd post some pics . . 7. So...had a go on a pulley save the other day and what a differance to a cambium saver!! It's got me looking at alternatives and so far I'm choosing between the pulley saver and the fimble saver, are there any others I should be considering?. Now in the little blurb about the fimble saver i believe it states that it provides only a fraction less friction management than the pulley saver! Is this true? And if so, is it really worth paying nearly twice the price for the pulley saver for only a small gain?
  8. Some very good suggestions there, personally I would find someone that will let you have a go first or find a rec climb locally and see how you get on, you may hate it which would mean a lot of money spent un nessaseraly but as stated, there's plenty of threads on here about it
  9. As far as I'm aware there available now, fr jones no longer have them advertised as pre order
  10. That seems a bit silly really, obviously this depends on how long it takes to ware out but in effect, having a non replaceable wearing part kinda makes it like a very expensive piece of friction cord in my opinion if you know what I mean?
  11. Looking at maybe getting the zigzag some time in the near future and I was wondering if anyone knew weather the friction lincs were a replaceable part as I'm sure they will ware out at some point
  12. Here's a quick snap of my small but potent 22.250 with the relatively new addition of a sound moderator. Sadly due to the girlfriend I don't get to use it as much as I would like too Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Take pics of the pot hole and damage caused and get in touch with the council, a mate of mine broke 2 aloys on his disco and they replaced all 4 with new wheels and tyres plus a compensation payment as he was unable to work
  14. I'm 24 and suffer from a nackered right knee due to an accident I had several years ago, silly me didn't give it any chance to heal and now it haunts me. I find that if I don't keep it excersized it flares up so I have to make sure I work it every day regardless as to weather I actually have work or not, also I find a knee support provides some relief on the occasion it does flare up. Another thing to maybe try is calcium fluoride and calcium phosphate tablets, just makes it a little easier for your body to maintain your bones/joints
  15. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone uses any of the granberg chain grinders? Basically looking to find out what people think of them, pros and cons etc. looking at getting one , looks a good bit of kit.
  16. Hey guys, picked up my first chipper today which is a bargain of a jo beau m500, sadly it didn't come with an owners manual so was wondering if anyone knew if there's a downloadable version?
  17. Another vote here for welding gauntlets, not a lot gets past them
  18. Coletti

  19. Welcome to the forum graham, im sure plenty will offer any help that they can give. Personally i dont think you can beat work experience to get you started after you have the qualifications. if you intend to be a climber, maybe look for some recreational climbs in your area before taking your cs38, you may find one where you can borrow some kit, this will give you a good feel for climbing and the kit before you shel out on your own equipment.
  20. Might be worth trying lincs tree services, heard not too long ago that he may be taking people on
  21. Good stuff, I've been watching that one as well just to see what It makes, bit of a bargain there, it's like new!!
  22. What size and Ill keep my eyes peeled
  23. Just gone to remove it from my new saw and it doesn't have one anyway haha
  24. Cheers for that, I'm happy with that explanation haha, I'm guessing its not really necessary in the uk then as chances of finding dry tinder are in the high minuses haha
