  1. £80 a day self employed when your supplying all your own equipment and fuel etc doesnt amount to much, by the time you take out running costs, travelling expenses and tax your not left with a lot
  2. Hope I don't offend anyone with this but thought share it as it tickled me a little haha .
  3. In my opinion if he's gonna be doing mainly contracting a little Astra van or connect should be fine for him, no poing in having something big and un economical if he's not gonna be using it for its proper perpous most of the time
  4. I know a lot about the agricultural wages order/board due to past experiences but how does this apply to a tree surgeon?
  5. So if that's the rate for employed what can you expect if your self employed?
  6. Congrats to all the winners especially Gareth Dalzel hahal, was well worth it for the children's trust and I look forward to next years, lets see if we can beat this years £7000
  7. Messaged justin last night an the verdict is I'm in the clear so it's all good , much happier now I know
  8. Haha I must say, even though I haven't done masses with it I can say its a great saw, bags of power, well balanced an light weight, just a little worried it's one of the older problemed models
  9. After having an I phone for several years I wouldn't suggest getting one, too many restrictions from apple, try a htc, my computer geek friend has one and says its a great bit of kit, so many options to up grade/change the firmware and they even do a windows phone now which looks quite good
  10. Ahh cheers, hadn't thought of that, have just messaged him
  11. I have read a bit about a problem with the 550/560xp but am unsure what it is. Can anyone enlighten me as to the problems they had and weather it may happen to mine, it's been fine so far although not done masses of work with it but I purchased it from FRJones at the apf and wondered weather this is one of the fixed ones or one of the faulty models and if it is a faulty model how do I go about getting it sorted? Any info would be greatly appreciated Cheers George
  12. Husky 550/560xp, most say 18" is too much for the 550 but mine seems to cope just fine
  13. I wasn't meaning work experience, just find some recy climbs and tag along
  14. Not sure what others think but I would say to find someone local and get some experience, certainly helped me out
  15. Here's one I have made up quickly using a piece of throw line Hope this helps and you can understand what I previously said
  16. If you want to make the setup in that video even cheaper you could replace the petzl tiblock with a boot lace tied like a prussic loop, not home at the moment but when I am I shall set it up and take a picture
  17. I got one off amazon, just google petzl tiblock and follow the shopping results, think it was about £23 but really effective
  18. Take a look at this video, he's using a petzl tblock? [ame=http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=COnJtt4Jf-Q]Using a Prusik hitch advanced with a micropulley | Arborist climbing techniques - YouTube[/ame]
  19. I was meaning the online gameplay, it's atrocious,I've gone back to mw3 now
  20. Campaign is good but I cannot stand the online game play, just die loads and find people just sponge bullets, can take up to 16 bullets to get a single kill some times!! Ridicules!
  21. Personally I just push my self past things. Not exactly been climbing long, only passed my course in November but due to my nerves I couldn't go above 30ft and was worried I'd struggle on the assessment so on the last day I pushed passed it and went on to 85-90ft and felt comfort and an enormous sense of achievement once I had got there. Just be methodical about everything you do and take your time, check and double check everything, trust in your equipment and most importantly, believe in yourself! it's just your nerves your battling but speaking from experience, in the right frame of mind you can overcome anything!!
  22. Find yourself a hobby to help loose the weight, this is just a suggestion but cycling is a good one. I've been doing it for years and its such a nice feeling to go and put 20-30 miles on a cross country route, this also gives you peaceful and tranquil time alone to think things through. Certainly helps me when I'm feeling a bit low
  23. Your not wrong there, we used to get ours from a mc cormick dealer when it was case/mc cormick, I'm sure you could get it from eithe but don't use crap in it, doesn't do the back end any good
  24. Got my Myan 2013 calender through the post the other day, was expecting some nice pics of temples in woodlands...no! Just 12 blank pages, certainly not worth £5.99 in my opinion hahaha
