  1. Hey guys, I recently purchased a second hand jo beau m500 and it needs a new cable to dis engage the hydrostatic drive but the guys at vermeer can't seem to find a parts diagram with it on, have jo beau changed the control panel on this chipper? I believe mine is an 06 model. just wondered if anyone else has ever had problems getting hold of a parts?
  2. Have used both and I think they both have there pros and cons, the zubat being curved I find cuts through stuff quicker but isn't briliant for cutting out a gob whereas i found the strait blade cuts a little slower but is better for cutting out a gob, don't think there's a lot in it to be fair though
  3. Ahh okay, cheers for the reply, having taken that on board I shall always make sure I have a spliced eye rather than a knot
  4. Bit of a novice here so just a quick question on the implications of climbing with a knot instead of a spliced eye. I am climbing with a spliced eye but was just wondering why it becomes dangerous using a knot? Is it cause the knot can hinder the operation of your hitch?
  5. Ahh...I may also suffer from it too although I've never been to the doctors about it, quite often get a lot of pain in and around the elbow and down my arm
  6. What does tennis elbow feel like?
  7. When doing my free fall gob cut, I put the chain break on and put my hand on the branch just to steady my self. His argument was that my work position should have sufficed but I explained I had only done it to stabilise my self while the branch was bouncing after I had taken the weight off and he was happy with my explanation so no real minors, just a little constructive criticism on that point, I'm not sure about the others, I believe again there was no minors just a little constructive criticism
  8. If only my bank balance said I could afford one , cannot wait to get my hands on ore even just have a go with one!
  9. After a very nervous evening last night and even more of a nervous morning today I have passed my cs39 and am now walking around with a grin running from ear to ear haha. Now all that's left to do is get some work coming in
  10. Have measures the axles centers this morning and there around 700mm so I'm in the clear with that one
  11. Bah gutted fella, those p1's are a nice little toy, I've got a dmr rythm for when I get a pop at some dirt jumps, come close to selling the three I have to free up some funds as I have around £5500 worth of bikes but I cannot bring my self to do it! ahh well, will just have to keep getting that adrenaline rush and take that instead hahaha
  12. The trailer is technically plated already as I'm just modding an already plated trailer that technically will have the same capacity, size and weight as the original trailer, if needs must I will sort out getting it re plated. Although I may never really use it for its plated weight, it will be more than capable of carrying what it was originally designed too. It will put a bit more stress on the tires but I think it will be minimal, I haven't measured it but I'm almost certain there no wider than some of the larger ifor double axle trailers
  13. The ramps are completely removable and able to use from both sides . I'm not sure what distance they are, it's not too far, I wasn't aware there was a legal limit . Have you any ideas on how far apart they can be if there is a legal limit? I'm sure it'll be fine but would be nice to check.
  14. So has anyone got any idea as to how long it'll last? I know it's only early days but seeing as the friction links are not replaceable I'm left wondering how long it will last as it is quite expensive
  15. So after the concern with nose weight I have moved the front axle forward a bit to try and compensate, I have also decided that unless the chip box is actually being used and is full of chip the chipper will travel around in the box and only go on the front when necessary. The ladders that the chipper will sit on are now made up, sprayed and welded to the chassis and I have also made the ramps to drive the chipper onto the trailer . Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Haha that's what I meant by hit the animal in the wrong place. There's too many idiots here that wouldn't hesitate to get a bow and start plugging animals un successfully if it was legal, shame really as I'm sure if done properly its a great sport, not to mention stalking would've been entertaining due to the distance needed to make a clean kill

  21. Think it has a lot to do with the fact that if you hit the animal in the wrong place it can run on and die a painful death where as with a gun, chances are the beast'll still drop
  22. Used to love archery when I was younger, was even Yorkshire under 16s champion for a couple of years
  23. Sorry to hear it, as I'm in market Rasen I shall def be keeping an eye out!
