  1. are there no red dwarf fans here??? modern comey is for the most part fairly pants and i still watch the good old programs like porridge, bottom, blackadder, are you being served, yes minister, only fools and horses, the vicar of dibley, dinnerladies, ab fab, allo allo and of course red dwarf... modern stuff would have to include QI, live at the apollo, a question of sport (it depends who's on of course), graham norton again depending who's on.
  2. Beech...
  3. well it's in the fagaceae but which genus i don't know, the rays look remarkable short for either beech or oak and without good closeups i can't say what it is to be honest. if you can focus in on a 2" square in a high quality image i could give you a better idea. beech is fairly likely at the moment but i would have thought more spalting would have taken place???
  4. i can not look at he files so can you put up images please. here is your old thread.
  5. as was revealed in a thread a few weeks ago i look like a character from something called game of thrones... i think he's called Tormund Giantsbane... .

  8. well i don't know about the bonfire bit as the smoke may be acrid from the leaves but presuming you mean prunus laurocerasus then it's fine to bur on an indoor fire and makes excellent firewood. it kept our stove going for hours after 2 years of drying.
  9. well some more info wouldn't go amiss, where is it? where are you, how long has it been down and what sort of sizes are they and what are you looking to sell it for.?

  17. can you guess which one i am... .
  18. i've been informed by the people who keep on saying i am the spit of him that this character was a 6'6" celt who was some sort of warrior in game of thrones. the leather and fur he is wearing certainly is doing a bang up job of impersonating dry stone walling i must agree...
  19. as a ginger myself i thought i'd put this up here as i currently look exactly like him with 10 months of growth for the beard and hair. .
  20. a 4" bit like that should not cost more than £20 in my opinion but i don't know what it would cost for that particular size as it's just my opinion. people charge what they want these days...

  25. would you adam and eve it... a mate of mine has positively identified the timber... Chukrasia tabularis i can't give it a common name as there isn't really one for the UK seeing as it's not one we ever get over here other than with pallets like this bit did. he did refer to it as chickrassy though. there you go mick, i didn't think that one would ever get solved...
