1.
No worries Treeart .. Will forward your number to a bloke I know. Vince has UA1 atm, so can expect a call from him soon. Cheers, Drew

2. @kentjames, Ive liked your page, so over 33+ on yours now:biggrin: @raker, Thats good going mate fp to you. Im up to 73 likes now (since Feb) and like people have already stated it does take time to get more. Ive had over 245 views on a post on there yet not many have 'Liked' the page, as they say its hard to find the Invite itself .. So, Perhaps this is why its hard to get, likes, Quickly? Im also on Google's Search Engine but i dont have a clue how .. and a regular client said he found me in YellowPages (But i know im not in there as i havent put in an advertisement?) I tried that Trust a Trader and was in the process of having signed up with them., Realised how much Id have to pay them, just for someone filling in an online form .. Rip Off.!! £35 per Form, + £85 per month to stay on there, + 20-30% of the job price, every single job .. No thanks.!! Id rather do it many other ways. lol
3. No worries there mate .. Just happy to help:thumbup1: If you want anymore help on the Fbook subject just let me know mate (As I do it myself on my lappy screen, I try pass info on every 'click' of the mouse so dont lose people in the process) Im going to like your page through HTS's Page dude. As Ive got Family in your neck of the woods I'll forward your link to them n get you more likes and awareness. (Uncle n Cousins live in a Pink Cottage in the middle of no where, so might take upto a couple days before they like it, but they will.) Keep in touch fella n dont be shy to ask .. There Isnt a 'How To' manual with FB unfortunately
4. Try and put your Link to the page in Emails, Inbox's etc as a Header/Footer and Get your Friends, Family, Colleague's etc to share your page aswell. http://www.facebook.com/HalfhidesTreeServices?ref=hl (My page) Ask Permission First: But if you have Highly Respectable, CelebTypes, Big Businessman Power Suit Types Etc, Ask them if it would be ok to Name Them &/ Their Business/Association/Society. The Main Tip: Raise Awareness .. Attract Potential Clients To Your Business, Show Them Your Quality of Work .. And Make People Aware Your Still Trading (Pages on the internet dont get enough attention alot of the time, So afew Pics, Vid clips, Posts every now n then will keep your page alive n kicking, but at the sametime doesnt annoy people with notifications every Two Mins) Hope this all helps you lot.!!!
5. On Facebook: PAY for advertisement, keep your page OPEN for ALL to see, Keep it updated with new pics to keep people interested, talking about your page aswell as visuals of your Quality of work:thumbup1:
6. @Stephen Blair Didnt see this post .. How can you move a vehicle Properly?? I mean, if on a straight road .. But moving around obstacles, curbs, other parked cars etc.??? Another reason why use of Shovels is illegal and has been for years (as far as I know and same for my mate, the Tree Inspector Guy) He'd shut you guys down if he saw you still using shovels. (Old skool way, but Not effective / safe enough)
7. Aslong as the area has Parking Permits for you guys then you have all the rights to get the car Moved by yourselves either using Skidders n a Jack / Get the annoyance Towed (Shouldnt be parking there anyway) Technically using Shovels as Skidders are illegal to move vehicles as they are dangerous, can 'snap' and peoples backs are juddered, metal splinters fly, and the obvious .. pop the owners tyres. There are some pretty Reliable and fairly priced Skidder Plates out there with Wheels (So much easier to move vehicles, especially Transit Vans, Trucks etc)
8. All 3.? Thought this had the choice between 2.?? Going with a Maul as Fav. Have a 4n1/2 lb, CarbonF handle with AntiShock.. Nice sized head for giving a wedge a whack, Splits anything. Like any tool, depends what you want to use it for/ job in hand. Be there all day trying to Split with a typical Axe.

12. Ah, Thanks Ray. All tips and advice welcome as stated i am a Newbie to Carving and will put next attempt at a log on here for people to see. Im looking at Face Carvings lately and saw someones Skulls that i was very impressed with .. Missing the Halloween period im looking into the Festive type carvs. Ive had a request for a Smoothed log and was struggling to get bark off without damaging the log itself. Thanks again Woodwizard, Will try your way 1st aswell as any other peoples tips too. Thankyou to you both for your advice .. Very much Welcomed:thumbup1:
13. Felled it in September dude, kept in a Semi Damp Shed to keep it about 20% Moisture .. Is this long enough or should i leave it longer.? (Newbie to carving you see) All Advice helps .. Will proberly try all suggestions n find the best way for me/different timbers. Another Question for you all .. I heard about this ''Swelling'' technique (Soaking the logs in an old bath .. Then Stood Up in the Drying room, to dry slowly .. but quicker than outdoor drying) .. Surely this could only work on Hardwood as im thinking this would make my logs 'Crack'., Am i right thinking this.???
14. Good 3ft X 18-25'' .. and was wandering if anyone has a good tip or advice on, How to 'Debark' the logs without using a Saw.? (Looking for a Better looking log, Before actually Carving.) Haven't got any fancy bits of gear to do it with, So a better way would be much appreciated. Thanks:thumbup1:

22. It does if the heads too heavy for the Arms and Shoulders .. ALOT of people dont realise its more technique & motion that splits the wood .. Instead they go Hercules Size Mauls and dont stand confurtably. (Bending of the knees whilst going into a 'Samurai BEGIN Stance' .. As the mauls coming down) Is my way. Legs take vibrations off the Top Of The Body ive found, Makes for less energy needed to Split
