  1. Have you got Trees on your property you want Managing / Felled? Do your Tree(s) look a bit worse for wear after the high winds.?? All Tickets, Onwn Saws & PPE Give HTS a call for a free quote & ask for Drew on: 07932859805 / Ask for Scott on: 07599389017 Thankyou
  2. Tony - Crumlin Waste Courier - 07973260162.
  3. 1) Always Wash Your Hands With Cold Water and a Non-Fragrant Soap Regularly .. Before & After Feeding, Before and After Handling, Before and After Cleaning out your Vivarium. 2) Dont Open the Same Feeding Hatch All the Time 3) Dont Annoy the Snake Before Feeding 4) Dont Tease the Snake with Food or It Will Probably Strike at You Instead 5) Dont Feed them Live Mice/Rat pups, Reason being, Brings out the Natural Killer Instincts and turns them 'Wild' again 6) Get to Know when the Natural Breeding Season is for your Snake (Males are more Aggressive during this time) 7) Handle you pet as much as possible, ONLY AFTER STEP 1. 8) Feed your pet Regularly
  4. Hahahahahaha.!!! Dunno why Slow Worms are called 'Slow' they're NOT. They're Fast Lightening getting away. Corns Usually let go .. With Andy he wore a Leather Glove and one of the Fangs must of got stuck in the glove itself. IF it doesnt let go within a couple Seconds you can Gently Unwrap it. Thats Rare it'll Hang on to you though
  5. LMAO..,Now PMSL. Its all true mate .. The Fears of a Snake, Spider etc are all taught to us in the Bible, Films etc. Its seriously hard to go Against your Natural Instincts when its Inprinted. Slow Worms DONT Bite. Infact if you can pick up an Earthworm, Ragworm you CAN Pick up a Slow Worm .. The More you Handle Corns the more they get used to your scent n recognise you as a 'Friendly'. Corns Strike then Constrict and Gobble Prey pretty quick. I suggest Slow Worm, then Handle a Ghost Corn. (Pink eyes, not Evil Looking Slit Eyes) Misconception of Snakes is that they're Slimey .. Again, Not the case. Dry Scales that 'Grip' under belly, Smooth, Silky Top Half, Even if on the very odd occasion the Corn 'Misses' its strike n gets your hand .. DONT Do What my mate Andy done with mine .. Freaked the F out, and Flung the Snake across the room into the wall. Had a pretty agressive 3ft Corn after that and took about 2 months to get her back to being her usual self. (Friendly, Really Good at Feeding etc) (Not laughing at you .. Laughing at your wording. lmao.!!) :-)
  6. LMAO.!! Is true .. The Natural Instinct toward a Snake is Fear. Taught to us as Children. Get over your fears of them Perhaps play with a Slow Worm n Build up to a Corn Snake.??
  7. Adder or Viper - Vipera berus
  8. Hard to Spot in Brash
  9. You have the Vipera Berus there mate. Can Kill a Cow in about 20-30mins
  10. Agree with you there mate. Read afew comments stating our UK Adders arent poisonous .. NOT the case.!!! We have Two Venomous aswell as a Cross-Bred Constrictor. (As far as i know the Constrictor Hybrid is a Python cross Adder) Rare to see as very shy but its here. Venomous: Theres at least 1 Grass Adder and 1 Breed of Grass Snake that ARE Venomous and HAS killed Toddlers aswell as Dogs. Has anyone thought of checking if any Exotic Petshops are in the area?? Alot of Snakes coming through now from Eggs being Raised in Incubators to Study Breeds off the Web .. People have them escape over night regularly or release them themselves as cant care for them any longer. I lived above a Petshop in London who bragged about having a 8ft Diamond Head Rattler .. Til it escaped, Bit Him, Ate his Dog n he Killed it as it fed. Be careful messing with Snakes your not 100% sure of .. Theres alot out there that Duplicate the look of another for Camo, survival etc. Kill em as you see em or get a Professional ins my advice.!!
  11. Reason the colours are Dark / Unclear .. The Snakes getting ready to Shed again. If you dont want to keep killing them, Ring RSPS and ask their advice or ask them to remove them from your property. They will proberly Smoke them out and away from your property, away from the runs underground or in Thick undergrowth. A good way to Prevent them settling .. Tin Roofing, Tarpoling, anything that can Conduct Heat and provide Shelter aswell as Shade needs to be picked up off the Floor / Stood Up. This reduces the amount of 'Hiding Places' as these Snakes are very Shy, usually. Try seek help ASAP as by the looks and sounds of it, these snakes want to settle/you have provided perfect conditions .. As Snakes Breed a little slower than mice, but can lay plenty.
  12. (Bump.) Still looking to take on more work

  14. Do you want a Tree Managed / Felled? Do you need a Blown Down Tree managed.?? Do you live in Torfaen, Newport / Caerphilly Areas.?? Give Drew a call on: 07932859805 / Scott: 07599389017 Call Today for a Free Quote Own Saws, PPE , etc Thanks Drew
  15. Started at 15 .. on n off trying diffrent careers .. Now im 26 and still going strong. Hopefully (Body Willing), I'll still be doing this into my 50'z and be classed as an Arborist Veteran like you guys .. 40'z, 50'z .. Keep it up you lot.!!!
  16. Tomorrow .. Blown down tree hung up against neighbouring house with the owners away on Holiday .. Waiting around, watching these winds, having my rear grow, Is not the way forward. Always on the lookout for more Trees though.!!!
  17. Haha, Show off Will get a bar 16" for my 450xp and give that a run .. Thankyou for your suggestion Stubby fella .. Bang Tidy!!
  18. Looks pretty Heavy Duty to me Stubby mate .. Cheers
  19. True point there mate. I think the same too .. In Forestry its like you dont have enough time to maintain your saw the way you should (e.g: Workshop maintainance) Domestic is much easier on the Saws in general I think. Clogging up the Nose Sprockets doesnt help .. (Trained not to stick things in it but what can you do to clear it out in the woods? .. Its not like I carry my wire brush In my Backpack .. Or maybe we should???) Have any of you with 'Snapped N.Sprockets' Had the nose trapped in you back cut or a heavy log squeeze your tip?? Reason im asking .. Ive been wandering if its the type of bar (Whats its made of really) Electrolite bars seem to be able to take more of a battering Ive found .. Perhaps its the Bar's Manufacturer .. Oregons, etc that are made of a more brittle steel?? Looking for a bar that is almost bomb proof (For them Trees which have lil Nasties Hiding in them) .. A full Road Curb is the main reason Smashed my nose.s to bits (Bore Cutting, close to a Fence) .. Another which was easier to spot was a, Bicycle .. the tree had grown around it and swallowed it, cutting it out was bit of a pain to say the least. So .. Is it the Nose Sprocket itself thats Weak because of Use / The Material its made of??
  20. Do You Live In Caerphilly, Newport / Torfaen Areas.?? Do you need a Helping Hand.?? Give Me a Call Drew: 07932859805 Climbers, Groundsman, Own Saws and PPE
  21. Haha!! .. He doesnt wanna miss his wedding dude .. "Dont Stop Me Noww .!!!. Im Having Such A Good Tiime .. Dnt stop me, dnt stop me".. (Sorry couldnt resist. lol) B-)
  22. We work with the World's Most Dangerous Hand Tools .. Holding head to the side (Left) is a Precaution .. NOT Prevention unfortunately. Remember working in London with a crew, One of which had Felled a huge Ash .. Led on the floor ready to be 'Ringed' .. As our Team Leader walked off to make a call to the Boss, a 2nd Climber took it upon himself to start logging .. After we were all told to shift what had already been cut (Over a small brook with a make shift foot bridge) .. Using the 880 the 2nd Climber must of hit a Knot/Hard material in the Timber .. Huge Kick-Back that he wasnt ready for, Shot back and came 1-2" from his Neck and Collarbone, (Left Side). Needless to say this shook him up pretty bad and has now taken 6 months off work to Travel n Ski around France. Be careful out there people .. Might be a wage .. Might well be your Life
  23. You are lucky dude. Aslong as you know where you went wrong and learn from It. But still, thats a mistake I thought only Labourers make:lol:
  24. VOLTEROL (Off the Telle) Works Really Well.!! Instead of Heating like Deep Heat does n very rightly can damage nerves and highten pain .. Volterol cools, uses a pain killer and caffeine, without burning up the rest of the crews eyes, nose's and throats
