    365 Replacement

560s a good saw we had a lot of trouble to begin with but were advised by a company at the longleat show to change the plug for a hotter cmr5h and hers been behaving ever since
  6. I was under the impression Oregon power match and husky bars were the same the old gut uses a 13" power match and 9 tooth sprocket on his 560 b e a utiful to use in softwood and coppice
  7. 391 has a plastic crank case
  8. 362 is a very good saw if you want a medium saw I wouldn't bother with a 441 its a great saw but weighs too much to throw around. I used to run a 391 but found they're pretty weak less than 12 months continual forestry use resulted in a melted crank case
  9. Ah hers fine felling with a 30" bar maybe not so good for milling but I only kill em
  10. We regularly run a 441 with a 30" bar and it handles it fine, that's the difference between foresters and tree surgeons, we get on with the job and you lot have to make a big deal of it lol
  11. Because a tractor is a tractive vehicle I.e. it is designed to pull a trailer plus it is a different category to a car
  12. Those eBay wader studs look strangely like tex screws
  13. Yup the 560 is a brilliant saw to use, handles well, pulls like a train and feels like a toy it's so light but it seems to be suffering a few fairly major teething problems, think I will stick to my stihl 362
  14. No chain brake didn't fail he put it down without putting it on, before you say anything about that the point is the saw revs itself up, on its own, when no one is touching it, not very safe me thinks
  15. Fathers 560 has a nasty habit of revving itself up today it did it when on the floor, this caused it to shoot forward and run across his new boots , it also demolished a clutch drum at the beginning of the week ripped the splines clean off the drum, when we took it in mechanic replaced the drum but neglected to do the spark plug up so not good, saw is in now and being sent to husqvarna its a shame really as its an otherwise brilliant saw
  16. A friend of mine welded the front wheel of a car to the pot shaft on his processor all he does is put the car in gear and leave it running. Works a treat

    Caravans???

Holiday I kip on site in mine to save travelling also lived in it for ten months so I didn't have to travel 100 miles every day to college
  18. Drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it spreading first thought
  19. The test requires a 15" bar for the cuts you have to demonstrate. There's no way you could really do a split level cut on a sub 380mm tree with a 36" bar
  20. Push the stop in and put a spanner across the two poles on the. Starter just remember to take it out of gear and I accept no liability if you don't and run yaself over
  21. It's a hard one part of me is saying that public areas/parks et al are public owned so is it theft??
  22. The old man and I both run 362s good reliable saw its light and really cuts well with a 15 or 16 inch bar and 8 tooth sprocket
  23. When he does retire he will probably have a replica of chads hill built in Manchester
  24. I currently run a kockams 84 31 brilliant forwarder and simple to work on ta boot
  25. Andrew Holmes is fine till you want parts in my experience, been two months and the clutch plate still hasnt arrived after we were told they had one in stock
