1. Thought that was the original aim but it got watered down in the first rollout? Sounds logical that we should pay more when it costs more to make and vice versa. Many appliances have timers now anyway. We set our dishwasher to run in the early hours as it makes no difference to us but makes it easier for the grid
2. Monitors for working out your own use have been available for 10 years or more and as far as I can tell thats all they are. Not a bad idea non the less. All I have used is something like this which was handy for working out how much each appliance uses. Cant have a smart meter here as there is no signal for it Nevsetpo Power Meter UK Plug Power Monitor Watts Meter Electricity Usage Cost Meter Monitor Plug : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Shop Nevsetpo Power Meter UK Plug Power Monitor Watts Meter Electricity Usage Cost Meter Monitor Plug. 3. Yes that was my understanding as well. Nothing wrong with Viking mowers either. Neighbour did ground maintenance for a living and always ran Viking mowers
4. Got halfway through the first episode and that was enough for me.
5. Got to be one of the best ever singles that. Always liked this as well but in a very different vain
6. Dont know anything about London Planes but use masks day in day out running the processor and bagging charcoal. For me these are a good fit and the downwards facing valve stops my glasses fogging up. Fit is everything though and if they dont seat under the eyes air will escape and mist up your gasses 20 x Moldex 2405 FFP2D Masks With Ventex Valve WWW.EBAY.CO.UK

20 x Moldex 2405 FFP2D Masks With Ventex Valve.

7. Some truth in that without his throwing skills or knife for that matter 😂 More like a fish out of water to be honest
8. Thats is so true. I dont get out much but when I have been to London the shock on peoples faces when you try to interact with them is a picture. Turned into a good game for this south westerner 😂
9. I make that around 2 loose cube. We sell 2 loose cube for £220 delivered. Its all air dried hardwood and sub 20% Peregrine are you in the UK? Without getting into the environmental impact I am amazed its financially viable to import logs from SA
10. We have some old electric poles for fencing. Dont be fooled by the hint of creosote on the outside. I was sharpening some of them up and there is still so much cresote in them it left residue all over the saw and the smell was so strong it left me feeling sick and I use creoste around the farm on a regular basis and have never been effected so badly by it.
11. Agree with that to a point but we are not doing either
12. The idea that dont work at all is ridiculous. Quality masks used by pros can up to 100% effective as in link below. Sure lesser masks used by us plebs are not as good but way better than nothing. Seen plenty online how the chap you are quoting is talking out of his rear end. Telegraph had him quoted as a memebr of SAGE yet another member of SAGE said they had never heard of him. As masks are better at protecting others than the user this country as left it up to most callous and inconsiderate to dictate other safety. Lots of immune compromised now back into full isolation as of today. What a shit show Covid: Masks upgrade cuts infection risk, research finds WWW.BBC.CO.UK Wearing a high grade FFP3 mask can almost entirely protect health workers from Covid, research finds.
13. Yawn Is exactly what health workers up and down the country are saying plus a few expletives I suspect
14. Have a look on here and see if any are close British Charcoal Makers | Devon Charcoal DEVONCHARCOAL.CO.UK This is a directory of charcoal makers in Britain to help anyone who wants to find a local charcoal maker to buy charcoal direct...
15. Might help if you could give us some idea how much you want to earn in this part time venture then others can help you work back from there.
16. It shouldn't have sat there that long but bought in too much and was slow to get around to processing it. Love to say it wont happen again but think it best I get further off the ground than it is at present. Larch would cost me more than chestnut
17. Looks like good old TCD is going to be able to sort me out with some chestnut bearers.
18. Just working through a pile of roundwood which has sat for nearly a year and the sycamore and birch near the bottom of the stacks has started to rot. I lay old fence posts, telegraph poles etc to put the wood on but it leaves very little air gap when loaded with wonky wood so it rots. Wondering if some elevated rails of some description would aid drying or at least avoid the rot. Would rather avoid any permanent structures as this is in the field Thanks
19. Hard to say which would have been worse. Both options were awful The big question is what next! There is a huge hole in the middle ground of UK politics that desperately needs filling.
20. Odd priorities worrying about a Labour MP ramblings when this is our actual Prime Minister addressing some of the most important people in the world Boris Johnson welcomes G7 leaders in rambling speech after elbow-bumps on the beach - Mirror Online WWW.MIRROR.CO.UK The Prime Minister proclaimed the G7 summit open by declaring he'd be 'building back fairer and building back more equal and...
21. Had a local farmer make a compost heat in a small beach woodland (owned by him). Every tree in proximity to it has died or dying . He has since removed the heap
22. £3 a kilo would make it worthwhile. Charging £2 a kilo trade at present. Had lots of other makers saying this was too cheap so tried upping the 2kg bags to £4.50 for new customers but had zero repeat orders at that price. Back on kettles is this made in the UK ? Electric kettle MAUNFELD MFK-661CH | Maunfeld - British quality for all the world WWW.MAUNFELD.COM
23. Yes, I should do it like the pro's. Cut down some virgin rainforest Under cook my charcoal to make it heavy Cover it in fire retardant to make it safe for shipping across the globe On arrival in UK treat it with propellants and bag into "self lighting" bags Oh and use a nice plastic covered bag that won't compost Hay the customer must love saving 50p and the acrid smoke and flames they get from that lovely imported charcoal! My point being it's all about price for most customers. As for kettles we have found a good quality one thats lasted years but cant find where its from so probably PRC Aspect White Kettle | Electric Kettles WWW.MORPHYRICHARDS.CO.UK Aspect White Kettle, 100003, Morphy Richards, The Aspects kettle makes up to 6 drinks at a time
