Good to meet you Garry. Glad the boards will now be put to use instead of filling up a shelf and in the way. Look forward to seeing pics of the chopping boards
  2. Did some laying on the farm and got fed up with passing farmers taking the pee and saying "you don't want to do it like that" Did a course same as Jimmay with Lynher training. Now at least when someone takes the pee I can say "thats how they teach it now" Found the BTCV book a very useful guide.
  3. Only saw the original for the first time last night but that clip gave me a good laugh. Thanks Barry
  4. Bleak today. Forecast was good but it's raining and cold 4C
  5. Load handler and just roll the bags off the back? Might be messy
  6. Do you know someone is selling at these prices or just reports? Been having a look at log websites around the country and there is some pretty dodgy measuring going on when it comes to volumes of logs
  7. Much as TCD Still worryingly quiet. If someone is selling 2m3 dry hardwood for £100 we ain't get many customers charging twice that.
  8. How are you getting on. Has it set yet?
  9. Good work Mark Especially like the bookmatched boards for the top.

I have lots of off cuts that are big enough for chopping boards. I keep them thinking I will get around to doing something with them but it never happens. You can have them for nothing but a donation for the Christmas raffle would be nice. Give me a call 01822 852933
  12. That does not look like a native timber. It looks like it's got wild close grain. A bit like sapele but maybe not red enough in colour for that. There are a multitude of similar looking woods to choose from. If you can get a close up picture of the wood and I am sure Steve will get it for you.
  13. Thanks Was just being nosey. Had visions of a house build from scratch.
  14. Yes buckrake not hay rake. If not for allen scythe might be for an old Mayfeild
  15. Hay rake for an Allen scythe?
  16. Never used them but this lot seem to have a large range. Tarpaulins To Go
  17. What are you making TGB?
  18. "Thanks for the offer of taking the timber but it would come back to the farm for firewood." Thought that would be the case but worth an ask Hope you get the job and goes well
  19. You would charge £240 for to take away the wood? haforbes I would happily clear the wood for nothing and if no major hassles may well be able to give you something for it
  20. It's fab out today Jon. Me and Liz are planting up some trees on our hedgerows and it could hardly be called a chore on a day like this.
  21. Hmmm my thermometer says it's 10.6C! A quick breath of the outside air says otherwise. Looks like a new weather station for Christmas. Any suggestions?
  22. It's been lovely the last few days. Working in a T shirt Saturday, Sunday and Monday but a bite in the breeze today put an end to that. Just above freezing now. About time we had some winter type weather
  23. Depends what you call high I suppose. Always found their prices reasonable.
  24. So are you in Devon or Cornwall? If yes what's wrong with Plymouth pallet and drum?
  25. Thought you might have a view on them Matt So apart from lousy brakes, weak hydraulics and scarcity of spares a good machine. I will take a good look at it and may even get to borrow it for a few days.
