  1. If you can get them the inners for IBCs can be cut in half to make 2 covers. Your logs look as tidy as the rest of your site
  2. Sounds like a bargain. Can't get that on a 27 tonne loads here.
  3. Find I end up doing that or more when working a fair way from home. Try not to have consecutive days like that though as does take it out of you.
  4. Hi Lee. I have sent you message
  5. Wow they wanted a good quantity of wood for the hurleys. When I saw the thread had visions of just a few butts. Glad it worked out and guess it paid better than going for firewood or milling. As for those large stacks of ash that's just perfection for firewood. Never seen such straight hardwood down this way.
  6. Thanks Lee. Could well take you up on this. As Jon says how many hours a day would they get for £280 and have you used the Farmi before? Sorry to ask but experience with it makes a world of difference if the wood is awkward. Also is there any travel to add?
  7. Can't justify lighting the fire when the room temp is over 20C but tempted all the same
  8. Had a 3 speed metal gearbox Dewalt for years and it was great. Got a 2 speed cheaper model without a metal gearbox and it's not of the same caliber.
  9. Thats very clever. How on earth do you do those petals?
  10. Thats one hellava set up Tom Can't imagine there is anything that setup cannot handle.
  11. Haha It's my Mrs that's against me working up there for 3-4 days.
  12. Fabric first Jon. As said above a Passive house or close would be mighty good start.
  13. Looks like a maple surround but could well be a beech infill. Impossible to be sure without a close up though
  14. Very nice Mr punk
  15. Now that sounds more like it I had read talk of a 25% of the wood used to fire a kiln but with that sort of efficiency can see how you can run it on "waste"
  16. Not on my search but think you get different results depending on previous search history.. Are you interested in the work Jesse?
  17. How does Steve get Arbtalk so prominent on google? Did a quick search for firewood processing in Somerset. Third one down is this thread. Anyway still looking
  18. Remember my first ride with them. Never tried them and bolted them on just before an epic riding Dartmoor north to south off road Fell off too many times to remember but the bogs of Dartmoor are a soft landing. After that baptism of fire they became a doddle. Could never go back to flats
  19. Farmi WP 36 road tow. £25 per hour + fuel (for processor) and travel @ 45p per mile.
  20. NO Thought it would be a nice little earner but had not realised how hard on kit it would be. Probably need to put my prices up soon to help cover wear and tear.
  21. Thanks and makes sense but don't think it's the case. The un-greased bearing does still move but very stiffly. When I removed the pin on the other end I was able to waggle the ram around and it moved on the bearing not the pin. Not had a go at it today as it was peeing down but will have a go at it over the weekend.
  22. Was hoping you might know someone John.
