  1. Shame it was not better set up as mobile unit. No log lifter and this machine was high plus the sawdust chute went out straight on the wheel. Other oddities was it appeared you had to undo 8 bolts every time you want to change the blade which could be pretty tiresome. Basically a static unit plonked on a trailer.
  2. They start at £7600 for the 12.5 ton semi automatic and go up to £11500 for the fully automatic 25 ton. Mobile version ads 2k and diesel engine ads 2k Considering the build quality ie it was built like a tank I thought it was well priced.
  3. Think this is it in action
  4. Thought this road tow processor looked a pretty serious piece of kit
  5. No idea Jon. Too many shows or poor advertising would be my guess but just a guess
  6. Seems his infamy is spreading
  7. Yep 2 years ago. Sure that was much busier then. Today could get straight to speak to assistance on stands but last time had to hang around and wait my turn. Looked at that small processor you posted up a few weeks back. Looked pretty lightweight construction.
  8. Like a ghost town all day today still had a great time Thought the show pretty good so surprised by the poor turnout.
  9. Good work Andrew Wish I could weld
  10. We will see how it goes. Had a similar break a year ago and that repair is still holding. The grain does not quite run in line with the shaft at that area hence the breaking. I have now also wrapped the lower shaft with glass fibre which should help with strength and the impacts from over striking which probably caused the problems in the first place. Needs a clean up but basically done
  11. Very good one Eco
  12. Working on site and man mountain of an assistante broke the handle on my favorite log pick. Lets hope a bit of resin does the trick. The tape is just to hold it together while the glue dries.
  13. Don't think I fall into any of those categories yet thanks Mark Sure you don't either
  14. Just noticed my oil level rising so guess they have not got this problem resolved
  15. Spend my time between delivering logs and processing for others. Need a top for processing and greedy board for log loads so made up simple winch system for the canopy.
  16. Try Craig at Oak valley tree services.
  17. Yes I did and already thinking I have made a mistake. It's a gutless and pig to start. Not used a small saw in years so maybe just needs getting used to and a few more tanks of fuel. Guess it's a standard bar and chain. Didn't spec anything special.
  18. No need from our local hire shop. Pretty much give your details and take it away for £100 a day
  19. As Jon said try Rob D. Got some off him a while back and he chucked in a load more than I ordered. Chainsawbars ? chainsaw chains, chainsaw bars and chainsaw accessories
  20. Jon you big sissy. Go put a jumper on
  21. Just read that it's looking good for the next 2 weeks especially for us in the south west. Beginning of September is often a good period of weather and sounds like this year is no exception.
  22. Watched the 360 being demoed at shows at it's not exactly grease lightning but I am sure a log deck would speed things up over the Farmi. Loading the the lifter is tiring over the day and does slow things down somewhat. If you get a lot of small wood I don't think anything is as fast as the Farmi. Hydraulics are not as fast as a motivated man
  23. Ye sounds like a dealer problem. Picked a little ms181 from Radmore & Tucker last week and was handed to me warm having had them set it and given a run.
  24. This little repair looks pretty easy [ame] [/ame] He could do with some sharper cutters though
  25. Here you go Jon. Drat can't post the list but click were it says map of showground and exhibitors http://www.conforwoodlandshow.org.uk/
