  1. I can view it on my Samsung phone. iPhone. iPad. And or course PC
  2. the downside with asking if earing protection is Adequate on certain Models of helmet in certian situations is very difficult for the person using them to determine as its an accumalated damage to hearing and ifs its only a couple of db under protected you prob would not notice but over time the damage will be done
  3. Always try to pass the knowledge on lol :thumbup1::thumbup1:
  4. i do try lol we all have knowledge about subjects in life some more than others but ive always said EVERY DAY IS A SCHOOL DAY and if you dont know you ask but also be careful with choice of helmets as some are only rated for Ground use and not climbing but even a 26snr unless you are going to feed a chipper all the time ie if you are Climber and when you are done you help by dragging to chipper etc as i di as after all if its job and home then why not the exposure is very mininmal so ig you have a chipper person let him chip you drag and place for him
  5. MSA type earmuff 31 SNR approx £15 plus vat but if your buying new helmet you can buy with better spec for next to nothing
  6. i use 31snr on all my helmets whether it be Climbing or Ground most chippers are 116-119 DB and 85 being the counting point 85 plus 26 = 111 and 85 plus 31 = 116 you can get higher but gets bulkier Most Chippers are Recommended to use 31SNR and most companies sell 31 SNR as Chipper Spec one of the reason behind this is most chipper are checked for DB at the point of where the Wood hits the Blades and thats not where we should be ,,, we are approx 1-1,5 mtrs back so by time DB is checked there its at 112-116 at approx 1 mtr from the Feed Hopper a typical Timberwolf for example 190 has dropped 99-105 db which is approx 2 mtrs from flywheel and then drops further u get
  7. Good way to view it just as we all are thinking ITS WHEN THE **** HITS fan RA and MS will have to stand up and be counted as so to speak ]#
  8. its always best to actually see the job location sizes and layout including access difficult to price just from picture but on that note i would say 950 -1300 final price would have be after site visit or if ya pushed to give one via pics alone then go towards top end
  9. i agree the wall can pose challenges and a nice long day big machine all goes well ensuring no wires cables or silly pieces of metal lol
  10. u can also get Micro dots and and locate all over These are used a lot on Motorbikes thats where i got the idea from
  11. if i really suspected they were stolen ie at a silly price or even serials removed i would have reported it to the police , now if the police chose not to do anything that is out of my hands
  12. my shout too if i had real thoughts it was stolen
  13. i use a 192T muffler mod and timing advance hardly use 201T (infact it has 16inch bar on as that has been Muffler modded and timing advanced for the real thicker stuff) the192T with the alterations will cope 90% of what i sued to do with 201T and defo lot lighter and easier to use etc , tbh the 150T has had muff modded and timing advance and that gets a lot of use too but by the time the 192T has done its work rarley does 201T come out as a lot of times the next saw is ground saw from the flour lol
  14. i use it in all my engine and they have never let me down including van maybe luck lol but hey small outlay
  15. On refilling put 3.5ltr in leave it 5 mins check it on dip stick and then keep adding say half ltr and note how much it moves on dipstick keep note of actually how much you use for future. Just ensure you don't overfill As mentioned Prob around 5 ltr. That why I say put 3.5 in then use your additive. I have for 20 years always added a product called Slick 50 a friction reduction additive to all my engines and I'm convinced they run better and longer. It's around 20 quid so against cost of machine and in my opinion longevity and increased performance it's a so so small cost.
  16. Unfortunately that will be hard to enforce its not really relevant that it is local or residential build loyalty clause in that if they leave within certain time they pay the training back longer time goes less they pay But with getting more men with more qualifications the you will be able to tender etc for more / bigger jobs which will pay you back times over
  17. if your going to use a pole saw for a lot of pruining then the Harness that you wear that is spring loaded is a blessing its about 120 but well well worth it also use it on hedge cutters hand and long reach saves arms and backs good piece of kit
  18. looks good from what i could see the back handle area of each saw seemed to be bouncing under load etc you would not get this is your hands where on it perhaps consider a small fabric strap etc to ease the stress etc just in a diagonal way if you get the drift
  19. if you want to add another dimension to it and it keeps the Operator a bit further from drop zone rather than being directly underneath and also reduces the trapping issue when cutting is to get a 45 angle gear head for the top around 90 -100 quid but well worth it once you have used one with the angle on you wont want to take it off lol
  20. If a Rope Fails due to Cuts Etc he has to log it as such he may be polite and Ring Whos kit it is and ask him if he wants it shortening and logging then can be retested and listed as shorter one
  21. Log it on Test Cert and Return some inspectors actually put a tag on it as well or if a few items fail then i put them in a box or bag and Clearly label fail as well as listing on test report sheet
  22. why not just pull more thru and put a half hitch in it to shorten it no stitching needs to be touched then ?
  23. pass the work back verse versa any gardening work yes i missed this off my original reply i do this for a few around my way
  24. i would have also thought 20% is too much as stated a drink could be good obviously if its a big big job then you could tip up some more and it also depends if you know them etc
